What's More Important: Winning the Economy or the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?

March 16, 2009 RSS Feed Print

President Obama has faced criticism for "doing too much" in his first few months in office, focusing his efforts on the myriad problems with the U.S. economy and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Were the president to prioritize one issue, what do you think it should be? Are the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan more important than the economic crisis? Are we, as this MSNBC piece argues, essentially "at war" with the economy? Post your thoughts.

I think we should send all members of our Government a brand new Shovel and let them know just what that the New Shovel is for, one it can be used to clean up the mess in our Government of which they are responsible for or it can be used for their New Jobs in the near future. Send them a New Shovel today flood the mail system today, see if they get the message or see just how stupid they really are. No Bonus to the Greedy SOB’S in AIG and No more Bailout Money to the Banks.

PS: People,Please use American made Shovels.

"Mexicans don't treat women much better than Afghans."

Wow. What do you base this opinion/observation on? Having been to both places, I can give very very good odds on which country you have *not* been to.

If you don't have a strong economy you can't fight very long! Does anyone in the entire country understand that you can't fly a jet without buying the fuel? you cannot help someone else before you help yourself. Everyone who has ever flown on a commercial airline has heard the flight attendant explain, put the oxygen mask on yourself first, then help your children or others...Surprise, it works when one must survive life too...

Astounding...
