Obama's speech really hit home. He's a great president who inherited a Titanic Mess, and I have enormous trust and faith in his abilities.

God Bless President Obama!

There were lots of words, lots of inspiration, lots of calls to overcome, but when one looks at what was actually done, one particular action stands out. He put the VP in charge of where the money goes! One of the biggest problems with the Bush was the move of power into the Vice Presidency--and removed from responsiveness to the public---and in this case, into the hands of a man who is known to be in the back pocket of big credit and big banking.

How did he do? He has done the Democratic version of Bush's biggest mistake--invest a great deal of power in the vice presidency. What ever else happens, I fear that we are in for some major mistakes. This is why, when Obama chose Biden as his VP, he lost my consideration as a potential president. We need to re-establish the control of the VP--as that office is really not ever voted on--it is the president who is elected. Obama has already shown that he does not have the ability/will to correct the greatest threat to democracy from the Bush administration.

Suppose it might be because Biden was behind the "king-making' in the first place?
