Barack Obama Angry Over Stimulus Debate, Avigdor Lieberman, and Hilda Solis’s Taxes

Hilda Solis and her husbands' tax evasion should do wonders for the Hispanics. I, for one, will no longer be voting for someone because they are Hispanic (as I've done in the past) but because of what they stand for. Hilda Solis has let us down and she can go to hell!

"They need to keep their mouths shut and quietly send their brilliant suggestions of ideas to our President. They just want attention and get no respect from me....they hope everyone and everything falls apart so they can continue to broadcast their critical viewpoint."

Yeah, if only they had done that with president Bush. I guess what goes around, comes around. Obama is quickly finding out how difficult it is to bring about 'change' when you have dumbasses in congress.

Either way, the bailout package will not stimulate the economy. Someone has to pay for that, and in the end it will be the people.

Government! BACK OFF! Let the economy fix itself you retards! We don't need your meddling, and we don't WANT your meddling.

Have you ever noticed all of the egotists that do nothing themselves but stand on the outside running their mouths criticizing the people that are on the inside trying and taking the heat....if these so called 100% hindsighters are so smart why aren't they otherwise employed. They need to keep their mouths shut and quietly send their brilliant suggestions of ideas to our President. They just want attention and get no respect from me....they hope everyone and everything falls apart so they can continue to broadcast their critical viewpoint.

As a "little" normal person with only $2,000 in the bank and an adjustable mortgage that keeps going up and not down, I say give the homeowners $10,000 each instead of the 40 billion or so to the banks. Let the banks fail, I'm willing to give up my $2K in the bank. I know what and how to use $10k if the government gives it to me and so do th other homeowners. I wouldn't use it for a private jet!

Obama wants stimulus? I figure it like this. Instead of giving GM and Chrysler 30 billion dollars, why not make available five million vouchers at $6,000 a piece that the public could ask for to purchase a new vehicle? Or two and a half million at $12,000 a piece? You know, jump start the economy. Instead of a trillion spent on banks and executives, why not give homeowners the money? If their are 75 million homeowners in the United States, that would be $12,000 dollars apiece. If it was less than that, the number would only go up from there. Talk about a true jump start! Instead we have a president that spent $800,000 dollars of his own money to keep his original birth certificate hidden from public scrutiny. The job he has only pays $400,000 a year. My bet is that he really doesn't represent change or hope and that there are a lot of people with snake oil on their shelves who to their dying breath will defend the indefensible! Talk about leaving their brains at the door. If their IQ's were one point lower they would be rocks!

Government is afraid to help the working people of this country because they would step on too many rich cat's toes. For your information the rich cat's wouldn't be rich if the tax loop holes weren't there to give them a free pass and they were not allowed to make more money than the highest paid workers in their companies they are screwing and blaming for the losses of the companies. The workers can not afford to fly back and forth to work in fancy office airplanes why should the CEOs? The workers can not afford the rich wine and dine meetings either so why should the CEOs? The working people that get their hands dirty know more about what is going on in the work environment that the CEOs they work for. I think the banks should not be making flexable loans either because such loans start out at a low rate and increase at the wims of the loaners eventually causing people to not be able to pay their payments and lose their homes etc. Their should always be fixed rate loans so people will know what their payments will be and can make the loan payments if they manage their money properly. Flexible Rate Loans are a scam in how their rates go up, but never go back down. Also loans should be insured loans so no one loses even if a person loses their jobs for a short period. The President at this point in the administration should have already had a full line of cabinet makers with a plan to clean up the acts of all the departments. Being President means a proper manager of all his Cabinet heads and their employeees. Congress and Senate should be required to throw away all thoughts of special interests and save this Country from all the mess financially and in security. No one without a clean house can tell another person or Country to clean their house without setting a good example first and honestly. Quit spending money in Countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, Gaza, and other countries that don't want us their to start with. Pakistan needs to fight it's own battles too not be getting our money to do it when they are not doing a job that needs to be done and telling us not to do it either.

While the stimulus bill is important, we still haven't a functioning government with the full cabinet seated. President Obama cannot do anything about the stimulus debate as Congress will do anything to impede progress but he can kick-start his cabinet to action repairing their departments and regrouping. The entire federal government could use a restructuring after our apparent bancruptcy. The FDA inspections are lacking, FTC complaints are backlogged, NOAA needs upgrades, etc... there are many areas needing management and leadership in addition to money. By shifting focus from political battles to running the government the President may find he has unspent resources available to use at will. If climate change is a reality then hurricane season is approaching and he can't afford a Katrina on his watch so reorging FEMA is yet another priority!!!

One other point. To pass a Bill quickly, Divide the beef from the pork. Both parties will agree and pass the real stimulus. The second spending/policy/agenda bill can then be properly debated instead of rushed through.

If AIG or any of the "bailout" companies took the Tarp money and bought all their employees new cars with OUR money, it would be "shamefull". What's the difference Mr President?

In this brave new world of yours isn't there supposed to be rules? Useless spending is useless spending no matter who writes the check. Remember, 50% of us didn't vote for you.

Being president means you're responsible to all Americans.

Chris Petty of GA 3:23PM February 06, 2009

"If this is how the fairy tale story of the stimulus bill ends, it will be a sad and possibly crippling start to the Obama presidency. The new golden era of post-partisan progress will turn into more of the same old, same old."

Wow...the GOP blocks the bill in the senate...and it's the President's fault? Do you think we are not paying attention to what's going on?
