Was a heck of a time! Can remember that first night down in a bunker. There was a group of Laotian soldiers around me, and they sort of had a look on their face like "are we on the right side?". i took out some porn from the left pocket of my flight suit, passed it around to them, got them saying "Nummer 10" and smiling.

My gunship got blown up at Khe Sanh during those first few days, had to get a flight back on an h-34 to get another one.

America lost it's will and its identity in the 60's. It was seduced by the glowing screen of the television - it was reviled by classes in revisionist history and philosophical brainwashing on college campuses - it was undermined by removing God from the public square and replacing Him with sex with no consequences and the worship of self, and made a caricature of itself by politicians who had no will or foundational identity themselves.

Our now shattered nation is the result of nearly 5 decades of turning away from the things that needed to be done - that should have been done. Lamely, George Bush tried to restore America's pride and will, but the foundation was no longer there. His misjudgments have led to our collapse, and we are about to follow the banner of "Change We Can Believe In" right over the cliff.

I see no way to put a "smiley" on this one...
