my class at schoool is doing a debate on whether the stimulus package that barack obama has in mind will work or not. my thoughts are that the unemployed have no income money because they don't have any jobs. because they don't have income money they aren't spending money and without spending money, all those businesses are going under. why is obama taking so much tax money from people? soon they lose there jobs and then they are still losing money for the stimulus package that is supposabely supposed to create jobs. barack obama should create enough jobs for everybody so they can have income money and when people have money, what do they do? they spend it. and when they spend it, businesses make MONEY and then businesses are successful. when businesses are successful they are able to keep their workers because a lot of people are customers to that business. this keeps the unemployment rate up.

The stimulus package to me does not look like it is going to really impact people lives that much right now or even next year. Americans need help now. Americans cannot wait for a tax breaks for future years. In order to spend money to help the economy you have to have money to spend.

Wouldn't it be better to boost the economy by just giving every LEGAL Adult US Citizen

$100,000 dollars, tax free there are roughly 200 million people that would fall into this category in the US. Now that would boost the economy. People would payoff the credit cards which would help the credit card companies, no bail out for them, buy cars, no bail out for the car companies, payoff there houses no foreclosures, pay medical bills, people would spend money. People would be able to buy houses, that could not afford to before. The bankruptcy rate would drop, look at how much the government is giving to all categories, it would be cheaper just to give back to the Legal US citizens.

I sure hope somebody reads this that has some common sense in the government. You have to have money to spend money to turn around the economy.
