Provide concise evidence of this fascism: Names, dates, and evidence.

You cannot, because NOTHING the Bush administration did met the definitions you posted. That is because we have a constitution and elected officials who protect it.

It is really pitiful that there are so many ignorant people in this country, especially with our exceptional 24x7 access to facts, historical archives, to include transcripts and photos. Using this term so loosely is an insult to the millions who have suffered and died on our planet fighting true fascism. GROW UP.

F. Brown - you seem to be up in arms about our RIGHTS yet you don't even know what the roles, rights and functions of our government are.

Obama cannot do most of what you list. Read the constitution before you start claiming that the rights secured by it have been violated.

How Venezuela's Hugo Chavez is leading a radical anti-American revolution that aims to increase Iranian influence in our hemisphere

Why China's plans go beyond regional hegemony to driving the United States out of the Pacific

How even allegedly "friendly" countries, like Russia, are conspiring against us

How the most violent and hate-inspiring Islamic ideology comes from sermons written and read by our "ally" Saudi Arabia's government-backed Wahabbi clergy - which, because they are official, are tantamount to Saudi government statements

How many countries have threatened using nuclear weapons against America (it's more than you think)

How, five years before September 11, Osama bin Laden had made clear his intentions to strike the United States by any and every means

Islamic "hate factories": how from the Palestinian West Bank to the holiest mosques in Saudi Arabia and Iran -- as well as on television, radio, and from hundreds of other podiums - leading Muslim clerics preach the "right" of Muslims to commit terror and to subject all "infidels" to Muslim rule

Excerpts from some Islamist websites that beg to be read in the context of the Democrats' hell-bent desire to force the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq

What al Qaeda's official training manual teaches about beating and killing hostages

Obama needs to move faster.

he, as our elected representative, needs to:

Revoke the Patriot Act. The worst blow to American Freedoms, BAR NONE.

Revamp Crime policies in America.

Begin investigation of the Bush Presidency IMMEDIATELY.

Begin impeachment of John Roberts immediately as well (that guy has pee'd on our Civil Rights and the Constitution far too many years during the Bush Presidency)

Immediately begin troop withdrawals from Iraq, maybe place some of them in Afghanistan where the REAL threat has always been.

Create an Oversight Committee on kellog/Brown and Root, Halliburton, et. al. and find out where the money trail ends.

tighten the grip of government on free-wheeling Big Business.

Immediately pass sign in regulations stopping all tax breaks to the wealthy.

Immediately stop all tax breaks for big business who are either employing more workers overseas OR have outsources 40% or more jobs overseas in the last 10 years.

Revoke Nafta, and re-implement it on better terms.

STOP SUPPORTING ISRAEL ON THEIR ILLEGAL OCCUPATIONS!

i think that President Obama isn't going to fast at all. I think that he just wants to fix this economic problem as fast as he can, and as far as I'm concerned, that's what we all want him to do. We may not agree on everything that he will do, but if it fixes our economic problems then i guess it won't be that bad. As long as he fixes what Bush did, i think that would be a good thing for everyone. And this isn't only for the U.S.A., but for the whole world.

Also, this proves that the world isn't full of racists like everyone thinks we are. We are one united country that works together regardless of race and color. Hopefully him being the first african-american president will change the world's view of the united states and everyone living in it. May this lead the world to peace and let everyone know that anything is possible.

Hopefully Obama's presidency is a good one and proves to be a nice and respectful president. So far so good, and hopefully it will stay like that for all four years. Because if he doesn't change what america is now, then who will? we can't afford to be in this state for another four years. And i am only a teenager so i can't imagine how bad this money issue is for adults who have jobs and have low salaries.

Obama is the change we needed to see in this world and hopefully he will change the world and america for the better. May he be what we need him to be. May he keep his kind personality and never stop looking ahead into the future.

God Bless President Obama.

I don’t think that he is he moving too fast, I think he is doing what he said he was going to do as soon as he can. We can’t expect the economy to be up in moving overnight just because he is in office now. We have to give him his chance. I believe that we will see a change and things will get better for us. Just in time. It has taken us eight year to get to where we are as a country. It is going to take us, as a country, to get back on the feet. We all have to work together towards the same goals or we will all fail.

Yesterday morning I had one of the greatest mornings I can remember. I was standing in the newsagents and was reading the front page of the newspaper, on which explained Obama's projected changes to the treatment of international detainees and closure of ghost camps and Gauntanamo.

There is a varied viewpoint on America here in the UK and over the last few years opinions have gradually worsened, this being due to such camps and non-adherence to treaties such as the Geneva convention.

For Mr. Obama, on his first day, to make such grand gestures and, from what I can see, such a blistering statement of change in philosophy, is something that I marvel upon from over the pond. Something that I daresay has been needed for some time and can only be a good thing.

I fear that I may not agree personally with all the changes that Mr. Obama may make in the future, but for a man to instill so much faith, by action, in his first day, leads me to the greatest of optimism for the future of globe and international relations.

Mr Obama, you are a great man, which you have proved to the utmost so far.

We thank you,

Your British Cousins

*If he hadn't done very much in the first few days there would be complaint. Which would be justified. I'd rather he make good on some of his promises that got him elected sooner than later. I won't agree with them all I'm sure, but the country is in a terrible state right now. We needed him to come in, and act quickly. Him "taking it in" won't help us. There will be night, and day with, or without him working. I'm glad he recognizes time is not on our side. We are in no position for a lazy U.S. President.
