I do not agree with most people about George's being the worst president in history. I think Jimmy Carter should have had that distinction. I also think that George has been dumped on enough; and has been used for an excuse as well as a scape goat for all the crap that the Democrats dish out. He was fed the wrong info by the CIA and it could be that even his closest advisers misled him... This man; I believe, had the best of intentions for our security as well as the world's. But often the best of intentions led to hell. If the sun didn't shine for a couple of weeks I think some people would blame it on George instead of nature... Hmmm. He was really set up for a fall and Nancy Pelosi and her cohorts slid by on the war issue when it was they who agreed to get into Iraq in the first place. The president of the U.S. has power ; yes, but Congress must approve a decision to go to war. Now Obama blames just about everything on G.W.... Well I'm one person who doesn't . We all had a hand on what transpired and " We the people, " kept out of it . Let history judge this man and it will be ultimately God who sets down the true judgement...

Although I voted against RMN, he was responsible for many advances in foreign policy. He would have been viewed as a sucessful President if not for the character flaws that led to Watergate. LBJ presided over many important social programs, and the strides made in Civil Rights during his terms remaim unequaled. While Vietnam was his downfall, there were many forces pushing a democratic adminsitration toward escalation-fear of the right, the ghost of Joe McCarthy. History will determine that the invasion of Iraq was a major blunder caused solely by the arrogance of the administration. Why were we the only major power that decided that Iraq had WMD? Can George Will of Karl Rove honestly say that the country is better off because we invaded Iraq?

i give bush credit for the war on terror he did stand tall and united americans after 9/11.Iraq was the UNDOING OF HIS PRESIDENCY ! it was too quick, and he listened to chaney, rumsfeld,instead of getting many outside opinions, that may have differed fron his, HE DIDN'T LISTEN !!!! Throw in that he left a TRILLION DOLLAR DEFICIT, AN ECONOMY IN A STEEP RECESSION and 75% public DISAPPROVAL !!! and what emerges is a FAILED PRESIDENCY !!!. I suspect his presidency will be dissected by students and scholars for decades.I don't think his term in office will EVER BE VIEWED POSITIVLY ! BUSH WAS A FAILURE IN THE MOLD OF CARTER, LBJ, AND NIXON. He probably ranks as the worst president ever !!! and it was his OWN FAULT !!
