Earlier this week, we asked whether Sarah Palin was right to claim unfair treatment in the way she was covered by the press. In an interview published yesterday, former Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee weighed in on the debate. "There were a lot of unfair things," Huckabee said. "Sexist things that would never have been asked of a male candidate. ... I did not think that either the Charlie Gibson interview or the Katie Couric interviews were unfair. In fact, if anything, Katie Couric was extraordinarily gentle, even helpful. ... It was not a good interview. I'm being charitable." Huckabee thinks that Palin bombed many of her interviews because of "overpreparation. She'd been hammered by [John] McCain's aides." Watch excerpts of the Couric interview here, and excerpts of the Gibson interview are available here. Is Huckabee right about Palin's interviews with Couric and Gibson? Were her highly criticized media performance s a result of "overpreparation "? Post your thoughts.
