"Tyrant, war criminal, loser, idiot"- it appears somebody has an incorrect definition of these titles... :/tsk tsk

J 3:46PM February 29, 2012

Are you stoned? Bush created this mess we are in. Gave his buddies tax breaks, no bid contracts in Afgan and Iraq, banked a ton of money himself and destroyed a 1.6 BILLION dollar bankroll that Bill left us, instead creating a 1.7 BILLION dollar deficit. Bush will be remembered for many things. Tyrant, war criminal, loser, idiot. Truman is not one of the people he will most be remembered as. Charles Manson, Zodiak, Green River Killer maybe..

It is fairly evident, seeing how horrid the Bush legacy is, when even now the history revisionists have begun attempting to re-write the pages of history. Don't worry friend, I and 300 Million of the other Americans out there will remember what Bush was.. A Criminal...

Wish we could poll the families of the 4000 dead. Or poll the families of the over 20,000 with combat injuries it would be interesting.

Well you worked for him, so your opinion is far from impartial. I really have only one question...

What color is the sky in your world?

Michael Platt of NY 2:01PM January 22, 2009

Thanks Mr. Blakeman for your integrity in attempting to educate the American sheep and give Mr. Bush the credit he deserves. You're not delusional, an idiot, nor any other of the names these ranters have called you. Given that you actually KNOW the man, your assessment of his achievements and motivations surely lend more credibility than those of the angry, uninformed and brainwashed sheep.

Sadly, the media and extremists in this country have somehow convinced us that Mr. Bush is Satan himself. Unfreakin believable....just as unfreakin believable as Obama being our Savoir. I guess simple minds can only comprehend extremist views, and are incapable of measured thought and understanding as to the scope, humanity and challenges of the job.

No, Bush's Presidency was not perfect, and Obama's will not be perfect. And...history will recognize Mr. Bush's achievements. It's sad the spoiled, what have you done for me lately, American public cannot see beyond their selfish little noses.

Keep up the good work Mr. Blakeman. There are many of us that do recognize President Bush's accomplishments along w/his failures, and are not swayed by the biased mainstream media.

Calm? HONESTY? What the!?!?!? Were we living in the same country? Are we talking about the same Bush here?

He took an oath to uphold & defend the constitution of the United States - and HE was the one who trampled and pissed on the constitution & the bill of rights.

Don't breed and keep your sick DNA out of the gene pool.

You foolish fool.

Dr. Johnny Skeptic of NH 3:24PM January 20, 2009

Weird evalution considering the total failure of the inept bush.

bush had no vision nor real aptitude for the job and it showed. Blakeman is a fool to write such drivel

About your comment that

"The criticism a well-intentioned, war-time president had to endure is both a national disgrace and a guarantee that the best and most capable Americans will shy away from the top job. If we, as a nation had given our Commander-in-Chief the respect he and his office deserve, both wars would probably have been over by now."

We did give him everything he asked for, complete with flags and yellow ribbon-magnets on the back of our cars, and the war is not over. This is the first time I've ever heard such a preposterous claim about the course of the Iraq occupation.

"The best and most capable Americans will shy away...?" I feel the exact opposite: Bush is the epitome of privilege, wealth and family connections replacing merit, intellect, scholarliness and competence. And his oblivion about why everyone is so disgusted with his work proves that his type has enough arrogance to cause widespread suffering and still see fit to put his noble intentions on display.

You and this author will be the last Bush supporters on the face of the earth.
