Barack Obama Left Holding the Bag

Obama left holding the bag? Oh, give me a break! That's right, he and the Dems had nothing to do with our financial melt down. Clinton's inaction did nothing to spur 9/11.

Yeah, it's all George's fault. You know it rained this morning and I broke a fingernail. Freakin Bush, that tyrant..it's all his fault.

Are there no level headed free thinkers left in this country? What a bunch of biased, delusional extremist crap.

the only problem with Joe of CA's post below is that bush actually had a record...failed business man...3 or 4 failed oil companies (never actually worked in the oil field on the rig)...didn't do much with the tx rangers...wrecked the education system in texas as governor...avoided military service at all cost (then lied about an actual vet in 04)...as did his vice pres...neither of them have kids in the military but they ask you to send yours...lied to you for 4 years as pres...so even with this record...people voted for him because of so called morals...he's probably the most immoral pres we've had...he's pro-life and that makes it all ok?? really?? he'll send your kid to war and get them killed over there and thats ok?? really?? he'll let 2 or 3 million africans die under a brutal government but we need to invade iraq because of a couple thousand kurds?? really?? the justifications just don't add up...

so i guess a bad record is better than no record at all??? really??? people voted for bush because he made them think he was a true texan...he's not actually from here...didn't go to school here...i'm a gun totin', cattle raisin', true texan and bush is not one of us, and never has been, a true texan. anyone can put on a hat and boots and act the part...

great leaders LEAD...that's what your so called "good show", "good rally", "good call" is for...getting people to stand up and do something...getting them fired up and ready for what's to come...and it ain't all roses...and isn't being fed to us as "all good" when it's not. Obama will lead like bush never could. he get's people enthused about taking part in their own destiny and being part of the process.

I guess we'll see...but i feel like i've been lead down the path to nowhere the last 8 years...good thing there'll be 8 years to turn it around...

Bush wasn't much... trouble is, Obama's less.

Before we all label Obama as the next Lincoln or Kennedy, keep in mind that he only has 2 years of Senate experience - he has never held an executive position such as Governor or Mayor. In fact, in my mind, he can put up a good show, a good rally, a good call, "Yes we can". He has no substance. He is not the guy that will lead America out of this mess because the media and the public unrealistically made him a god. I HOPE for the best, I hope he can, but remember, overhyped prospects usually turn out to be busts. To be honest, I am already disappointed in that he supported the auto manufacturers bailout. Them union leaders are nothing but pricks; they always want more. You give into their demands today, and they will comeback tomorrow. The fact that the auto industries are down is because the wages for the workers are unrealistically high, thanks to the union. I was hoping that the government would NOT bail them out, teaching the unions a lesson and ending their reign.

My HOPE is that Obama will be successful, but my gut tells me we are in for a long hard ride. The upside if he fails will be the end of the Dem's.

The sad thing is that the only fault that will be his, will be the lack of controlling his party while they control Congress.

He'll be another scape goat in the long list of goats.

Those who supported Bush were just wrong, and we should be grateful some of them were able to admit it, vote the other party, and move on. Those who keep apologizing for Bush or pre-criticizing Obama's term are pathetic.

Few presidents admister under pleasant circumstances. Difficulties arise all the time. The economy is now the greatest challenge and President Obama has a great opportunity to put right much that is wrong with the unregulated free enterprise system. In addition he has much goodwill in the rest of the world and will have to condider leaning on China to spend some of China's two trillion dollars reserves on US goods and services so adding further stimulus to the US package. ONCE he maintains this international goodwill and recognizes the true nature of global interdependence , his job will be that much easier and the duration of the recession shortened.

This is the normal peaceful transfer of power that the United States has practiced fro the last 233 years.

As far as "Barack Obama Left Holding the Bag" he ask for this job and won it, so now it is his to deal with. The first thing he needs to do is stop the talking points and start leading. His negative attitude towards everything is only adding to the problem.

Bush is not his problem, his problem is going to be the witch in the house and the dead beat in the senate.

Lead, Follow, or Get the H*ll out of the way.

Keith of MO 11:06AM January 14, 2009

George Bush has served honorably for the last 8 years despite the lefts attempt to undermine the war effort every step of the way for political gain, which I might add, has paid off in spades. But liberal politicians in Washington could not have done it without the help of an increasingly liberal media which has distorted the facts and failed to report the events of the day fair and balanced without liberal bias.

Mr. Bush has kept this country safe from further terrorism after the attacks of 911, and maintained good old fashion American values in the Whitehouse while, the liberal Democrats in the congress were taking huge payoffs to enact legislation which created the current economic environment by lowering the standards for home loans which led to the current economic disaster.

Ironically, the problems that Mr Obama will inherit, are problems that his own liberal Democrats have created. Then on top of that, the Savior Obama, is proposing even more tax and spend policies which will drive the American economy further into turmoil leaving the taxpayers holding the bag for the biggest social welfare system in the countries history.
