Will Richardson and Blagojevich Hurt Obama?

January 5, 2009 RSS Feed Print

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson Sunday withdrew his nomination for Commerce Secretary in the Obama administration. Richardson is under a grand jury investigation into a state contract awarded to his donors. Our very own Political Bulletin asks whether the Obama team pushed Richardson to withdraw, though some reports suggest that Richardson made the decision on his own. Others, however, report the opposite. What do you think about Richardson withdrawing his nomination? Will this, in addition to the Blagojevich scandal, hurt Obama in the early days of his presidency? Post your thoughts.

No. Disappointment will. The country's on the wrong track and Obama will exacerbate conditions such as illegal and chamberpot immigration and crushing debt loads.

These issues will never hurt Obama as long as the news media continues to protect him. The news has failed to report that Obama has received campaign contributions from the same company that Richardson has.

Richardson has never done a thing to protect anyone but himself.

It will absolutely not hurt Barky Obama-Mugabe! The PR arm of the Democrat party--(a.k.a. the lame-stream media)--downplays any and all Democrat corruption. Only when it becomes necessary to make either one a "non-person" and the proper Soviet-style denuciations are in place will these two be eligible for re-education camp.

The Obama-Mugabe apparatchiks definitely pushed Richardson to withdraw his nomination. Richardson was a dumb bunny when he deserted the Clintons for Barky! Nobody likes a snitch or turncoat. Barky's cabinet is full of Clinton retreads, so maybe there was no room for a turncoat like Richardson. Too bad though, cabinet meetings would have been really fun for a fly on the wall.
