Our daily look at stories and topics that are lighting up the Internets:

Blagojevich Scandal, Day 3

President-elect Barack Obama's press conference this morning ensured that the Blagojevich scandal would remain a blogging topic. Amanda Terkel at Think Progress details Obama's claims as well as his directive for the governor to resign immediately. Byron York at NRO's The Corner speculates about "Advisor B," the alleged adviser linking Obama to Blagojevich. Meanwhile, Andrew Sullivan wonders how the prosecutors will approach Blagojevich's case. Oh, and doesn't Blagojevich look like the Lego guy? Jonah Golberg knew it was coming all along.

Feminist Drunks?

A few bloggers took time away from the Blago scandal to comment on Alex Morris's article linking increased female drinking to Second Wave Feminism. There are half a million reasons for increased drinking among teens, writes our very own Bonnie Erbe at the Thomas Jefferson Street blog. "But I would put feminism way down on the list." Kerry Howley takes a different issue with Morris's article, arguing that the data the article is based on are completely bogus. "This is an organization that compares the smoking of a joint to a game with a 17 percent chance of death," Howley writes. "I had a beer last night, and I have to say, it wasn't a particularly gendered experience for me."

Reverend Wright, Undead

Just in time for Christmas, a few bloggers at National Review's The Corner—all right . . . and a few others—attempt to revise the Reverend Wright controversy, speculating on what'll come out of his mouth next. Some take umbrage at Wright's December 7 sermon on the Japanese civilians who died during the U.S. bombing of Hiroshima (December 7 was the anniversary of Pearl Harbor). While others go meta, taking umbrage at the reporting of Wright's sermon as well. And the media thought by reporting on Blagojevich 24/3—and every other occurrence since Wright was last in the news—it could kill the undead. That's just not gonna do it.
