Will Hillary Clinton Accept the Position of Secretary of State?

November 21, 2008 RSS Feed Print

Media reports have suggested that Barack Obama is "on track" to nominate Hillary Clinton as secretary of state. The announcement is expected to come after Thanksgiving and Clinton is reportedly mulling it over and moving closer to accepting the position. If she is nominated, will she accept the secretary of state job? Or will she opt for a new leadership role in the Senate? Post your thoughts.

It really is not a matter of can she do the job, I am sure she can. What matters is, where can she do the most good? If there are changes that are going to be made, it would be better if she had a hand in making them.

As Secretary of State the directions that she could move in would be limmited.

Obama is such an incredible man. Bill Richardson said it best, a once in a life time candidate and America had the good sense to vote him to be our 44th president.

Though I don't like Hillary Clinton, his selection of her truly shows he is not divisive. He is way above Hillary and all the rest.

Change does not mean he won't use some old guard, but Hillary like the rest will be under his direction and work for him. He is the 44th president of the US, not her. I trust that she will be professional enough to carry his message.
