Sarah Palin for President in 2012? No Way

Well, all indications are the Obama "change" is going to be more of the same, just look at the people he is considering for his cabinet. All career politicians that have lower approval ratings than Bush.

Change - Not

"The remarkable enthusiasm around Barack Obama's election makes the thought of running against him in four years daunting."

It's WAY too early to be making crazy statements like this. The man had a chance to meet with world leaders to HELP solve the world economic crisis but elected to stay in Chicago to work on "His" team.

Instead of worrying about what dog to get and replacing the bowling alley with a basketball court maybe, just maybe the mainstream media should start asking some serious questions of Mr. Obama and stop worrying about Gov. Palin.

I have no excuse, except, Ann started it, so there.

Can't we all just get along? Let's sing Kum By Ya - Oh no... There I go, being sarcastic again. Well, Monday is my "sarcasm" day. Tuesday is "anger" maybe you should try me then?

By the way, David, perhaps you know of a 12 step program I could join - You know, so I could become a pod person.... I mean Obamatron, too.

And David, in your last paragraph you "called me out". You want me to rebut Ann's comments...Well, not until you dissect her paragraph by paragraph... You can start with the name calling;

1."small minded, Christian conservatives".

2.50 million voters dumb enough...

3. Palin encourages "leers"...

4. Palin has no brain power, experience or knowledge.

5. No knowledge of current issues.

6. Palin is a vixen.

Ann sounds like a jealous woman to me...

David, you sound like a smart guy - I think you know what Sarah Pain has to offer, something you can't learn at Harvard nor by reading "The Economist" or "The National Review"... Something that is missing from today's political conversation - integrity, honesty, candor and objective morality. Not gonna find that in the Empty O'man or Hillary Clinton for that matter. And, those traits are really worth a lot more than papers with gold seals on them.

Besides, David, she would be the first President with nice legs... You gotta say that's worth at least as much political capital as Obama's 18 mo's in the Senate - Where he liked to vote "Present" a lot ... in between running for president, of course. But I'm startin' to wander. Must be time for my nap.

R.L. Schaeffer -

Here's a challenge for you. I see that you write well but your reply to Ann of IA went as follows:

Paragraph 1 - name calling

Paragraph 2 - more name calling and pandering

Paragraph 3 - sarcasm

Paragraph 4 - more sarcasm. somewhat humorous but no substance.

Most of your reply centered on Obama who wasn't even mentioned in Ann's comments. If you are so inclined, I would honestly be interested in reading a rational and reasoned rebuttal to Ann's comments.

Sarah for President. The fundamentalist base, the believers with their paranoia, will not find anyone else as committed to their idiotic, anti-democratic valueless set of religious values than good old gal Sarah.

No one else has the answers for everything on the tip of her malicious tongue than Sarah the Savior.

No one could be a better promoter of Democratic Party policies, except the family mandated George Bush Jr.

Go Sarah. Please go.

As proven by the campaign she is an emptyheaded cheerleader who thinks she she can use her experience as a mother to apply for a job. When was the last time this were an acceptable credential for any job application. You cant put in on an application for a job at McDonald;s Walmart, Roto Rooter, a District Atty, or a wallstreet business person. Why is this acceptable for a job like a governor or president? Joe the plumber has to have knowledge and skills for his job. Why are we talking about this. She's a narcisstic showgirl who does not know or care about what she does not know. She will go for a job to fullfill her own selfisf ambitions at the expense of the American public. Airheads will vote for her I guess. Would you trust her with your life?

Pat of VA 2:49PM November 17, 2008

Ann of IA, I might resent a comment like that from an intelligent individual... However, I realize you are merely an Obamatron and so have little in the way of morality, integrity or intellectual objectivity.

You apparently feel that Obama offers "real leadership" "experience" and "brain power"... All I see is a glib, phony uttering mindless slogans that you Obamtrons find so ah... refreshing and "deep".

I'll bet you found "I am a Walrus" and "Yellow Submarine" by the Beatles, to have deep meaning as well...

Perhaps we should play Obama's empty slogans backward, like old Beatle records, to find the "real" meaning... Let's see, "EGNAHC" Nope, it's not workin' for me... Perhaps you're right, I am "small minded".

R.L. Schaefer of CA 2:34PM November 17, 2008

Govenor Palin is a sharp, down to earth person who was unjustly and disgustingly trashed by the Democratic Media which is still stomping on her like a brush fire they are desperately trying to extinguish.

She probably should not run for President NEXT time as the country is still going to be in a huge mess with high unemployment and higher inflation.

She doesn't deserve to be handed problems created by the last two administrations -- and which will be greatly exasperated by the "new" Obama "change".

But Palin in 2016 -- oh yea, ready and waiting.

Middle America will rise again and the rest of the country will be following next time!

njguardian of 2:09PM November 17, 2008

Let's face it. Only a few millions small-minded conservatie "christians" would approve of Palin's running for president. But, would they be enough and would they be financially willing to finance her campaign. She claims 50 million voted for her---well some millions may have been dumb enough to vote for her but I would bet the majority of the votes were for McCain. All she got was the applause and the leers she encouraged. I doubt she would get enough Republicans to put up the money for a presidential run. She does not have the brain power, the experience, the necessary knowledge of current issues to compete, that she obviously proved to the nation. I would be so happy to see a women run, but she must be qualified or women will not be taken seriously. Someone of the caliber of Condi Rice, Hillary Clinton, M. Albright, Kate Hutchinson. I'm sure there are many intelligent, mature, and qualified women who could run--sorry Sarah could not compete with them. Do our nation a big favor and forget about Palin, we need real leadership not a vixen.
