My Fellow Americans don't let this Presidential Election be about race, because it is not. It is where two candidates stand on issues. Even Sen. McCain said himself that he hoped and felt that America will vote based upon its conscious and where the votes stood on issues and if the candidates beliefs and values line up with that of the American people. Don't inject the nastiness of racism (or facism) past to deviate you from making a sound informed decision. If you haven't already noticed that a tremendous amount of whites of a wide variety of social-economic status have already embraced Sen. Obama bid for President. Think legitimately why should you or why should you not ? Don't let color be the issue.

The Republicans also need to stop with negative degrading ads towards a very honorable statesman who has his countries best interest in mind and who has a very firm handle on where this country is, its troubles and challenges and where it need to head.

Get over in-the-closet raciests

Get over it already. Everybody is equal and has equal opportunity. It is YOU, the person who thinks that you are still oppressed and judged differently that is the raciest. With affermative action giving benifits to people simply because they are a minortiy, this is segrigation working backwards. Are we ready for a Black president? Give me a break!! We are ready for anyone who is willing to lead this country to a growing and healthy economy and successful country. It doesn't matter who he or she is. I am sick of hearing people saying we need Obama because we need a Black president for a "Change." STOP IT!!! Vote for him if you agree with his views and the same with McCain. Don't call me a raciest because I agree with the guy who isn't black and we can all get along. God bless MLK and his dream, but it takes everybody to make it happen. Raciesm comes from any person segregating another because of Race, not only a white man toward a black. Vote for the right reasons for which YOU truely believe and leave racism in the past. Judge a man on character and that alone and don't vote for a man simply because he does or does not look like you. The future is in our hands. We cannot change the past but if e don't get over this racism, the past will come back to haunt us. God bless America and all the Americans within...no matter what race, we are American.

Black President

The "no whit" and "half whit" ideas, beliefs and comments/statements that will keep this country in the situation that it is in.

We can have Black Mayors, Senators, State Representatives, business professionals, doctors, lawyers, judges, professors/teachers, engineers, fathers, sons, managers, supervisors, citizens, etc., etc., etc., but a Black Man cannot be president???

Who are you kidding?

This country is of the people, for the people, by the people and we are ready for a PRESIDENT that will put as much into perspective as we "the people" will allow; regardless of the color of his/her skin.

What was it that Martin said? "There will come a day when a person will be judged by the content of his/her character and not by the color of his/her skin."

Let's get it right Amerikkka - WE ARE READY FOR A CHANGE!!!

Abraham Lincoln was accused of using his stance of freeing the slaves to gain his poitical aims. When Obama is into his first term, black Americans will see how he used them for his own dream, not thiers or Martin Luther King.No change!
