Ok, a few things I don't get:
1. How is Barack Obama the antichrist? I'm the son of a Methodist preacher and have heard all of the fire and brim stone sermons before. I have even read a great deal of end time prophacy and I just don't get it.
2. How come every time a new advance is made in science, a perticularly ominous sounding year passes, or a minority group gets another right there are always doom cryers? Isn't it some kind of sign that the world keeps NOT ending? If you're basing this on the Bible then doesn't it say that no man knows the hour? Stop using your religion as a means to hate. That is not what Jesus taught. Matthew 22:36-40 (King James Version)
On the Democratic Congress and President: Hopefully the implied cooperation will be able to expidite the traditionaly slow government processes so that our country may move more nimblely when it is needed to, and, with the economy in it's current shape, I believe there will be plenty of need for swift action in the near future.

All this HYPE about O'Bama being like some sort of a CULT GOD,keep this up,and all the fears of the GOD DAMN AMERICA,

Now let's see, Tom DeLay says unchecked power bodes badly-oh but that's only when the Democrats are the ones in power. Also an Obama-Pelosi partnership would be a governmental train wreck-uh, aren't we in a train wreck of the Republicans making at present? And he thinks liberals will run amok? I'll give the guy one thing, he's got -----..platinum ones!!!!!

I can't believe you would solicit Tom DeLay's opinion on power, or on anything. I found his title, "Unchecked Power Bodes Badly" and the article's content VERY ironic, since his own legal troubles involved unchecked power. I think the man should be put out to pasture. Poor choice, US News.

I found it quite ironic that the title of Mr. DeLay's recent article was "Unchecked Power Bodes Badly." Does anyone remember how this man had his sneaky fingers in the redistricting of Texas a few years ago? He, more than anyone, should know a thing or three about power boding badly.
I feel we ALL have power now -- power that we need to share. My hope is that President-elect Obama, the Democratic party, the Republican party, and all of America can put the crap aside, get down to work, stop crying about hurt feelings, and get this country back on track. WE DESERVE IT!

You must be upset about Iraq which is why you take us back another six years. But for the last two years Democrats have run the powerful committees that brought us down, people like Senators Dodd and Frank. I make $52,000 a year. How about you? You must also think Obama is the Wizard of Oz. He has a big screen appearance but he's such a little man. Obomanomics will take us far from the Constitution and will change our country into a socialist dictatorship and for that you can just keep the change.
