Our daily look at stories and topics that are lighting up the Internets:

Obama From 2001 a Socialist

A radio interview with Barack Obama from 2001, during which Obama discusses how the civil rights movement was too court-focused and failed to "venture into the issues of redistribution of wealth and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society," has popped up on YouTube. Conservative bloggers are pointing to the interview as proof that Obama is the socialist they suspected him to be all along. Liberal and pro-Obama bloggers criticize John McCain's efforts to attack Obama on the interview. Ben Smith at Politico reports that one of Obama's legal advisers says that his remarks are being misinterpreted.

McCain Warns of "Dangerous Threesome"

At an event in Cleveland this morning, John McCain told supporters that Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barack Obama are a "dangerous threesome." He asked, "Do you want to keep [your 'hard-earned money'] and invest it in your future, or have it taken by the most liberal person to ever run for the presidency and the Democratic leaders who have been running Congress for the past two years?" Liberal bloggers have several objections to McCain's argument and aren't sure if it will stick. A conservative blogger is "encouraged by McCain's fervor." Chris Cillizza has a full rundown of McCain's remarks. Writing in U.S. News this week, Paul Begala argues that a Democratic government would be good for the country, while ex-House GOP majority leader Tom DeLay writes that it would be a "train wreck."

Obama Could Win Real and Fake Virginia

A Washington Post survey released today shows Obama leading McCain in Virginia by 8 points (that's including "real Virginia"). With Obama's huge lead in Northern Virginia, McCain's chances of winning Virginia are slimming, and bloggers are weighing in on why it's such a key battleground state.
