I think McCain needs to remind voters what happened the last time we had a Democratic candidate loved by the media. Look at what happened to the country when Carter was elected with a Democratic controlled congress. I think history is repeating itself.

I am appalled at some of the comments on this site. One of the most hateful talked about McCain laying in state in new suits... and this from Ivy Leagy Lady, "until he picked a lame brain running mate who is vulgar and uneducated. His mean spirited campaining was the last straw." Vulgar? You have no basis for comments such as this. And talk about the pot calling the kettle black. This is very mean-spririted. We should be civil and agree to disagree. Just because you say it doesn't make it true. If you disagree with Republican ideas - say so! But don't stoop to such vitriolic, hateful words.
I am a McCain/Palin supporter because they have records. You can go to past campaigns they have run and see that they have fulfilled promises. The same cannot be said for Barack Obama. I am also looking for a leader that has been tested. John McCain is that man. There is no more serious foreign relations thinker in our government today. I have deep reservations based on Obama's take on the surge in Iraq as well as his initial response to the Georgian crisis. In these dangerous times, I can't think of a more important issue than our national security.
I know many who disagree with me, but let's keep the discussion contained to the issues that will impact all of our lives.

I am one of the early voters and I cast my vote for John McCain. I have trouble believing or trusting Barak Hussein Obama. I don’t believe he was even born in the United States, but instead in the country of Kenya. That’s a lawsuit against the Obama campaign and the DNC by an attorney stating that Obama was born in Kenya and the MSM refuses to make it well known. Obama is a socialist plain and simple. The United States was built on capitalism. If socialism is what you’re looking for...move to Europe. Who cares about negative campaigns? In the big picture, what do they really matter? It’s a very silly and dangerous reason for choosing a candidate. I can’t imagine four years of Barak Obama quite frankly. I don’t think he could really be all that patriotic if he refuses to wear an American flag lapel pin. He’s running for the highest office of the land and he can’t even find the patriotism to wear one. I hope that John McCain gets his Thomas Dewey moment.

The posters here are insane. I work for the Obama campaign and nothing bad is going on. Also, he is all substance. He is not running on a record and institutional ties but a message and ideas that will help and transform our nation. People like the posters on here are really individuals who hate Obama because he is black. They need to grow up and move forward.

If this used car salesman wins "NOBAMA" he will certainly do massive damage to our already hurt economy that this democratic congress is responsible for. not G.bush. Bush never created these flaws, it was the democrats in congress. I am surprised our society is so blind. I also believe that Obama will loose because these polls are without a doubt "INACCURATE"...Look at all of his associations. Character is imperative when running for president & obama lacks this important quality in a major way. it scares me even more to know that there are so many illiterate foolish idiots out there that are voting for obama cause he sounds like he knows what he is talking about, HE HAS NO SUBSTANCE" & no valid plan. NEW Facts from a friend of mine who was
working on the Obama Campaign but just quit
after this. The reason he has raised as much
money as he has for example he has 130
million in the bank vs Mccains 46 million is
because he is having people submit multiple
small donations under false names and false
addresses, but even more frightening is the
over seas postage coming in from the middle
east and then being re sealed into envelope
and mailed again from us post office so its
non traceable to the original source. This
scared her so bad she quit.

Everyone should study the definition of Socialism and Capitalism. Obama wants to" spread the wealth". This tactic is a big step toward Socialism and that will destroy America. McCain's tactic is the same process that made American great annd that is Capitalim. Socialism is the step between Capitalism and Communism. (Look it Up)----Trying to use taxpayers money to produce jobs will NOT produce real wealth. That is like creating a job by hiring yourself. Creating real jobs CANNOT be done by this method.-----FACT--Allen Greenspan, years before tried to worn Congress that freddie mac and fannie may were in big trouble and their loaning practices must be tightened. George Bush also worned Congress more than once that these institutions should be" tighten up" or have there practices curtailed. But the Democrat Congress did nothing. He needs to realize that his campaign is creating a division that he has control over. It has been the Radical Right wing of the Republican Party that has alienated so many Americans over the last eight years and increased the culture of corruption, secrecy and corporate governance.
The Republicans as well as the democrats have their paws all over this socialist bailout. This is more socialist than OBAMA has in mind. Mccain, the maverick everyone says he is, has returned to the same radical right that has created so much of this division.
Now is your time to step accross the aisle, John, and be a real maverick. Why not spend the next two weeks with your buddy Lieberman and create a third party. Ditch Palin and go for Nader. You'd make for a great libertarian.
