Which Potential First Lady Presents a More Compelling Vision?

I have the utmost respect for both of these women, however, it seems that Cindy McCain doesn't have any idea of what my life is like as a middle-class wife and working mom. She even says in her article that she "realized early on in {her} adult life that {she} had the resources and time to devote to others." That's very admirable and noble, but the majority of women in this country don't have those kinds of resources--they don't have the money to pay daycare half the time, let alone advocate for children in other countries. I'm certainly not downplaying the circumstances of these children around the world--they certainly deserve our help and outreach, and through our church, we are teaching our daughter about the power of altruism; But, in prioritizing my life, my family comes first. We're as charitable as we can afford to be, but let's face it, I'm not devoting my time to volunteering for organizations that aid the citizens of other countries. I'm busy trying to make my own country more prosperous by working hard, paying my taxes and hopefully funding our economy. If I can make a better life for my daughter, I hope that someday she can be one of the people who has "the resources" to devote more of her time to others, here and abroad. I think Michelle Obama gets that. I pray for the children of all nations. I pray for both of our candidates and their families to make the right decisions concerning our Country and our futures. Thanks for this opportunity to be heard.
