Public Opinion: Will the New Round of McCain and Obama Attacks Work?

They will work to destroy this nation. With the state of the economy right now, the whole nation is stressed. This should be a time to find a solution, and we should be working together to put this nation back together again.

You watch - these attacks will go to a higher level. I predict before the election people will get physically hurt or even killed. I see riots occuring. I see nothing but bad things happening from this.

I see this nation full of people with HATE!!! I can't stand these attacks.

I just want to make people aware of who is making many of the distorted and radical charges about Sen. Barack Obama.

I am amazed at how cynical some people can be and how others can take any information offered by a psychopathic maniac as truth. If any of you did a background check on the author of these so called facts you would find that he: "Andy Martin" is a self serving hypocrite, anti-semetic, racist and extremely radical person. If you take note to his journals you'd see that he speaks in third person when referring to himself, which is a clear sign of self loathing and psychopathy. As for Sean Hannity, he has had very close associations with neo-nazi's, racists and anti semites, but you people are proud of them? Well if you are racist, anti-semetic or neo-nazi then I guess so! There is nothing wrong with being passionate about your candidate, but to use lies, smear and baseless attacks against your opposition is dead wrong and dangerous because it causes We the people to become divisive and hateful. Please folks, don't be lapdogs. Do thorough and evaluative research on your own even if you gain insight that is of disappointment of in contradiction to what you are originally led to believe. The truth is what keeps us free. Lies and deceit keep is bound up and in cuffs.

As for Sen. John McCain there has been little to no mention of the following and the right is calling the media biased.

John McCain is a US veteran with distinctions he received as a result of being a POW. Some of his actions while in the POW camp are questionable and he refuses to release documents from 600 of his fellow POW's. John McCain received a D, again I say a "D" from the veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan for either not voting for or voting against benefits and the new GI bill. He was part of Keating 5 and was on the board of a radical nazi linked organization involved in Iran/contra that sold weapons to Iran to support the contra guerrilla forces in South America. Retired U.S. General John Singlaub of: "The U.S. Council for World Freedom invited McCain to the organization and they used his name along with notable right -wingers like Oliver North who also trafficked drugs into the United States and did deals with the likes of Ricky"Freeway" Ross, John Poindexter, Carlos Cabezas, Julio Zavala and others to fund their private arms deals. There is nothing clean or honorable about people who feel that it isn't harmful to destroy our inner cities and suburbs to prop up radicals in other countries during this period in the early to mid 1980's. If you take notice one of the biggest drugs to import into the country today is heroin and there's no coincidence that it is the biggest source of financing the radicals in Afghanistan today. I urge you not to believe me but to do some research on your own. I know people's passions lead them to believe just about anything they get from one source but we are all independent of those who want to lead us.

Hi, I watched McCain and Obama speaking together on the debate on CNN two days back. McCain appears to be very articulate and speaks what he knows and want to do. I think he is very seasoned and at this critical hour probably will be able to handle economic and political affairs in a much better way. Compared to him Obama appears to be a novice and less efficient.

I am currently watching Sarah Pallin speaking on Cnn.

I feel as if I am watching the Jerry Sringer show. It has become sad that any person running for a presidential campaign, has to stoop to acting stupid , smear campaign, and the poor people that are not inteligent enough to know the differnce.

I would hate to see her speaking with an important official with her ya betcha ya, and wink as if she has the hots for them.

NOT CUTE! She needs to quit being a cuties pie that throws hash out and stop skirting the questions.

You might say that both Palin and Obama are radicals. Obama to the left and Palin to the right. The real question is how will that affect our country if either is in office? With regard to Palin, it would be nearly impossible for her to overturn the abortion issue and even more unlikely would be for the gay marriage issue to be changed. If we can look past her "barbie doll" style and only at her accomplishments then she does indeed look good on paper. I live in California and we are constantly struggling with the deficit and have had to undergo repeated budget cuts in education, etc. I would be happy to have a politician that had the capabilities and motivation to look out for the best interest of his/her constituants and not jump on the political spending spree with the rest of the politicians.

Regarding Obama, wow, what a great speaker. Talk about a guy that can win a crowd over! I really like Obama, but have some questions about some of his associates primarily Reverend Jeramiah Wright. Obama took the stance that he had never heard Rev. Wright make any type of disparaging racial remarks in his presence. Being a caucasian, listening to this man demean both the country and "white America" was enough to alarm me. I can't get past the fact that the entire Obama family attended this church and were closely involved with this pastor and had no knowledge of this side of him. It is all just too radical for a person that wants to go into politics in America. I simply don't want anyone that may be racialy biased. So, I decided to educate myself further on this issue and actually read on of his books. I purchased and read "Dreams of my Father". I enjoyed it. It was well written, informative and gave me the insight into this man that I was looking for. I will say however, that there was an undertone of anger to it. It seems as if he is angry for being the only black child in an all white family in addition to being abandoned by his father at an early age. One can only imagine the challenges that this presents to a child and a young adult during his formative years. I am happy that we have a black man running for the highest ranking political office. I am happy that our country is evolving and hopefully moving away from racial biases. However, after reading his book and hearing him state that he had no idea about Rev. Wrights racial biases, etc. I question his ability to simply be forthright with information. His past relationships with William Ayers, Acorn, and others are questionable. Would this man even be able to get FBI clearance? Just a question? I am definitely a social liberal and a registered independant. I voted democrat in the last election. But I do have my limits and am not about to pull the ballot for someone that I have this many questions about.

Wake up people, the left is fix'in to pull off "the shell trick" and we will no longer be the USA if this muslim gets in our white house.

I think Mr.Obama owes the American people an explanation as to how he and Mr. Ayers were and are still connected personally and politically. If there is nothing to hide, why not talk to

the nation about it?

I have serious questions as to how connected the Chicago

political machine is to Mr. Obama. I can't help but feel that he is a "puppet" for some organization or radical agenda. He just comes across as a person who could be easily manipulated. I feel he does not project the image of a leader.

Heaven help this country if any serious terrorist attempt is made or threatened. I would not feel safe with him as our leader.

Remember, he does not walk on water. PLEASE wake up and think long and hard before you cast your vote. Congress was responsible for the financial problems we are facing. Not John McCain. He warned Congress about the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac

debacle. Nothing was done. Congress is Democratically controlled.

When I watch some of the rabid audiences to which Palin is preaching these days, I'm reminded of video from pre-war Germany. Hearing people shout out "Kill him" at a political rally in 21st America is disconcerting at best. Watching a skin-head cop spew clearly racist rhetoric at a rally for a respected political party, makes me wonder what is happening to my country. This is scary stuff folks. It's one thing to disagree with someone else. That kind of civili discourse is what makes a democracy great. But to truly hate them to the point where you would wish them bodily harm, or even death? Doesn't that border on terrorist mentality? Is that the America that our soldiers fight for?

Ayres said in an article in the New York Times on 9/11 that he was not sorry that he had been involved(bombed) the U.S.

Pentagon, and a New York City Police Station in the 70's, he said that he'd probably not done enough!! He has the website,

Weathermen Underground. He and Obama have been associated for years now. Do any of you read anything that will inform you of Obama's background. You need to!! If Obama is elected president, we will all suffer under his administration, but I will have to laugh when you "died in the wool", don't want to really know, "lambs to the slaughter" supporters see who the man is under his mask!!! If you really want to know what he's about read, The Obama Nation, and The Case Against Barrack Obama. These books are based on facts of research on him and

his voting record!! He will raise our taxes, he is as far left as you can go!! He is and has been for yrs.associated with

communists, and he is for BIG GOVERNMENT. He is deceitful, he says what he knows you want to hear and has his own agenda. If you think the country is in financial straights now wait and see if he gets to be president. He is in on the earmarks and the pork!!!

A great debate would recognize that the American people want to hear what each candidate will do to fix the economy, Iraq et al. We don't want to hear allegations and refutation. We don't want personal attacks. We want to know what the candidates plan to do in office, and how that candidate proposes to achieve his objectives, so we can make sound judgements. McCain/Palin's latest attacks against Obama feels like those same ole' republicans.... believing that once again, their fear tactics will force the American people to vote their way. Their character assassination and accusations are desperate measures from desperate politicians? It's déjà vu - exactly how Bush won; invoking fear and trepidation into the American people. I would hope McCain would stick to the enormous issues this country is facing, but alas, since he is not winning and can not win on his own value, I predict he will resort to the "ugly" politics.
