Our country now is in need of the jobs that were outsourced to other countries, unfortunately I don't see an easy way to bring them back to the U.S.A. The congress could pass an unemployment extension that would last 1 year, and include training and job placement even if it means government project development. Let's see if congress really has a concern in the direction of where the country will go after the next session in November.

I concur. I am in the same situation. For the past 11 months I have looked for work, internet, job fairs, temp agencies, craigslist, local paper, networking etc. Anything I can do. I am still unemployed and as time passes the UE raye grows seems like daily which will make it even harder to find employment. DISD has layed of many employees and other companies are downsizing as well. This reflects the Temp agency business across the board. Congress needs to take a serious look at the unemployment extension AGAIN. The UE rate is higher now than it was at the last extension.

I am one of the unemployed and I have made a deligent effort to looked for work, I am on the internet everyday applying for work and hit the pavement everyday, to look for work , yet I, have not found employment up to date and I am going on 10 months,I will exhaust my benefits on October 13, 2008, and I have been told by the Texas Work Force Commision , that "You are on your own from then on", We need another Emergency Unemployment Extension, very soon, or else there will be alot of people homeless, and I'm afraid I will be one of those persons!
