Getting welfare and food stamps are to easy. Many of our hard working seniors are losing their homes and self respect while others sit and collect.

The lady who just had 8 babies after having 6 already was on welfare and was implanted to have more so she would get more welfare.

We just cannot keep printing money and bailing out business's with their CEO's making millions.

We must control imports and stop buying China made

cheap junk, mainly from stores like Wal-Mart, who have put several business's to close. Lets buy good old USA

I have to give "KUDOS" to sickandtired of GA. In that same tone I would like to say... what I historically painful day in history. I am so proud of American to elect the first Black President. It makes me proud that the people of our nation can put aside any reservation of skin color to put a person of any ethnicity in control of the #1 super power in the world. We all need to breath in the freedom and greatness of the USA and the people.

That beeing said.... This could quite possibly be one of the saddest moments in American history also. The people could look past the color of skin and the race or name of an individual, but at the same time were so inspired by empty words and meaningless statements of empty promises. So now let's get past the historical aspect of things and also settle in to to the idea that we made two historical statements to the world today. The second being....

The one man with the media in his pocket could sell us an empty list of words, promises and put downs to the current administration. One man could convince the media to back him in the light of the next coming of Christ so much that he was able to sell us on the idea that all of our current problems came from one person. If you really think President Bush was capable of destroying everything, well then honor him with the cape of SUPERMAN! It's amazing how intelligent we have become with technology, yet so incapable of making decisions based on rationality. We have been safe for over 7 years now. Where is the "THANK YOU GEORGE W. BUSH"? I mean if he is "SUPERMAN" in your minds and he was able to cause so much destruction... then why is he not getting the gratitude of also protecting our country with his cape and laser piercing eyes?

Americans elected the first Black American - be proud, be amazed and take it all in. We are THE GREATEST NATION ON EARTH.

But... Americans also elected the best USED CAR SALESMAN on earth - be embarrassed that you fell for the pitch, realize you bought a lemon and pray that when your loan is up in 4 years that someone will allow you to trade it in. Let's just hope and pray that it will get us to work and back in the mean time and then the next time you go looking. Do your research and make a decision based on understanding and qualified decision making - not on the thrill that ran up your pants.

We all wish you the best Obama. But more than anything - I sure hope that President Bush gave you a little insight into reality and that you listened when he spoke.

SO now I say - THANK YOU PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH for keeping my son, my family and those whom I love safe. Thank you for guiding our nation through some very terrible times and thank you most for your determination to ignore popular opinion and do what you believed was right for us. Thank you for being a father figure for those children of us that needed someone to look after us.

GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

You actually believe one man brought the country where it i today? Did GWB that made people buy houses they couldn't afford, rack up credit card debt, live a lavish lifestyle and invest in a stock market that is filled with crooks and fueled by bogus profit reports? Hmmmm. I think not. The economy is horrible because people don't know how to manage their money and blame the government for it. You are lucky to live in this country. For those that think this is such a terrible place I have one suggestion......move the hell out of it. Why don't you people stop complaining and pay your damn bills on time. It's also hard to get any legislation passed in this country because one party is always denying another party. That goes for both democrats and republicans. Here's a novel idea, how about you pass some useful legislation for the citizens of the U.S. instead of worrying how much money we can skim from the system. A huge deficit doesn't mean crap if you are the leading economic power on the face of the earth. Our economic potential is our collateral but if we as American's don't get off our lazy butt's and decide to work hard and stop pissin money away on crap we can't afford then it really doesn't mean crap. Our country's future is in our hands. We elect our leaders. They don't have absolute power. When was the last time any of you contacted your state representative??? How many of you can even name your state rep?????? That's what I thought.

When you put the last 20 years together, it may well qualify as the lowest 20 years in our nations history. An Impeachment, the selling of your nation's prosperity by one adminstration, and two unjustified wars, without provocation, by two others. Not to mention the suspension of our civil and constitutional rights. Oh, I forgot, a staggering eleven trillion dollar debt. This almost sounds like it was a plan from the start. The Perfect Storm - is in fact the treasonist acts of the very leaders of our nation. For what President that truly loves his nation would do what they have done to us? None. But, they did, and they justify it with evil acts. When will we wake up as to what has happened to this nation? If this is not bad enough, the media has neglected to report on the terrorist ties of our President-Elect. I shudder to think what this type of person could do in that position, when they have known terrorist ties. Our nation may be over - It is that serious!

George W was dealt a tough presidential hand shortly after taking office. But, a true measure of a man is how he faces adversity and overcomes it.

Bush failed completely on almost all counts. Sad, but undeniable.

Sam Iam of CA 3:05PM November 01, 2008

Excuse me Dr. Phillibuster, but do you actually live in the same United States as I do? It says you live in CA, but from your post, I am thinking that maybe that is a California in some other country. I can't imagine how you can possibly think that George W. Bush is a great leader and we have had so much progress in the past 8 years. You are talking about the span of 2000-2008, correct? Have you been living in some sort of hole during these past 8 years? Or maybe you are really George W. Bush himself posing as a clueless unassuming blogger. Why don't you get your facts correct and join us here in the present before you come back onto any blog and make a complete idiot of yourself.

Chrystal of GA 4:04PM October 22, 2008

I can't believe anyone in their right mind could think of George W. Bush as a good president. When he took office, we had a surplus. Now we have the largest deficit in American history, our economy is on the verge of collapse. The only people better off than they were eigt years ago are Bush,Chaney and their friends at Haliburton. He started a war that has killed thousands of Americans as well as Iraqis just so that he and his friends could get richer.

George W. Bush is America's first TYRANT.

I'm glad we have had such strong leadership in the past eight years from one of the most courageous presidents in US history, George W Bush. I couldn't imagine how bad off the country would be today if either Gore or Kerry were elected in Bush's place. It is amazing we have had so much progress in the past eight years considering Bill Clinton's tech bubble burst, September 11th, the Greenspan led housing bust, and the past two years of the most unpopular congress in the history of our country. History will judge George W Bush better than the current liberal media portrays him. He defeated Islamic Extremist, established peaceful democracies around the world, saved the world financial system, and created solid supply side pro-growth policies that will have lasting impacts to our economy for years to come.

What happened is that people got indoctrinated. dubya also has the highest approval rating on record in history. This goes to show how easily people can be duped.

If Lincoln were to give him advice, he would probably say, "Relax and go watch a play"
