Sarah Palin should think twice before she makes stupid statements and opens her mouth. If she was a little more educated about her party's politics she would remember how President Bush and former President Bush were so friendly with the BinLaden's. They were real pals from what photos show! If I remember correctly, they even helped Osama's brother get out of the the USA after 9/11.

Thomas Jefforson was actually very much for separation of religion and state. Ironically, religious freedom is one of the reasons for this. He thought a person in power would put too much pressure on the country by pushing their personal religion. Our history shows this to be the case. Also, those in power can potentially and sometimes even unknowingly abuse their positions. For example, despite being a country governed by rule of law, some of our laws have been guided by religious morality rather than scientific fact and principle.

Your comment is bigotted. Jefferson as one of the authors included religious freedom in Constitution and Rights. Maybe he would leap for joy. He even loved a black woman, sound more astute and open minded than your comment.
