Now, I'm starting to figure out why everyone calls us "stupid Americans." Citizens of the U.S. elected George W not once, but twice (after his father had been in office) and now people are actually considering voting for this character? Come on people!

The scariest thing about Sarah Palin is the fact that she has a chance of becoming the leader of the free world (if Bush hasn't lost that moniker for POTUS). While she may be a perfectly nice and maybe even smart person, I can think of perhaps a thousand folks who I know better and would be happier knowing they might assume the responsibility of deciding how to deal with the complicated and nuanced questions of diplomacy with Russia, not just pushing the nuclear war button. The media question, therefore, goes to whether I know Palin even as well as those other thousand folks for whom I would rather vote than Palin. If she can't answer the media's questions, I have to assume that she cannot answer mine.

Where is the evidence that Palin is a quick study? She has had a month to prepare for the Couric interview and she still came out sounding like a moron.

Now it is clear that the reason why Palin is in trouble with media because of her lack of exposure or interviews..No matter what they say I am still for sarah palin..na- na -na -na na "SHES GOT THE LOOK !..The "LOOK SPEAKS"..

It's is not about her talking to "them", the media. Understand that the media is shown to citizens, and for her to play shy does not help the media from NOT attacking her. If she came out from the beginning with nothing to hide, the media would not be taking such a big interest in her. It's basically a fact that she hides from the media to stop herself from calling Russia a neighbor to compensate for foreign experience. But obviously, even with the few interviews, she still fumbles.
People need to hear from her and understand her. I'd rather hear her speak more to understand how she thinks and reacts rather than read the crap she's done in the past. It's about what she's willing to do for the future.

Would you rather have someone who is a quick study and holds a high energy interest level in learning where short comings may exist or a bs artist who just throws things out there and expects everyone to believe them? Hey, we've already had a few of those! How'd that work out for us so far? I say the media be required to give the answers on the spot themselves for their gotcha' exercises. We live in an age where almost any information can be obtained thru the internet. Why can't they look some of these things up themselves instead of wasting time devoted to making others look foolish. I think we all know the answer to that question.

asked why her location enhanced her foreign policy experience, Palin said: "Well, it certainly does, because our, our next-door neighbors are foreign countries, there in the state that I am the executive of." She added that when Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin "rears his head and comes into the airspace of the United States of America, where do they go? It's Alaska."

Why would she want to answer skewed and loaded questions from a hostile news media? They have their agenda and she has hers. I think it's fine for a politician to take her message directly to the people.
