Our daily look at stories and topics that are lighting up the Internets:

Palin on ABC News: Decisive but Dim

Liberal bloggers are unanimously unimpressed by Sarah Palin's interview with ABC News's Charlie Gibson last night. They say the interview illustrated a clear lack of foreign policy knowledge, demonstrated by her inability to explain the Bush Doctrine, her disturbingly Bush-like decisiveness ("Never blink, never think"), her abandonment of her faith (she said she was referencing Abraham Lincoln when she said the troops are on a task from God), and her views on global warming, The interview left liberals worried about the future. Conservative bloggers, on the other hand, criticize Gibson and say he was condescending and unprofessional and conducted the interview like an interrogation, "quizzing" Palin "as if she were a grad student." In response to the Bush Doctrine gaffe, the Weekly Standard defends Palin's answer, asserting that "there is no universally acknowledged single meaning."

Today's Washington Post: A Double GOP Smear?

A piece that appears on the front page of today's Washington Post has outraged conservative bloggers. The article contends that in a comment Sarah Palin made to an Iraq-bound brigade of soldiers, she linked the Iraq war to the September 11 terrorist attacks and to Saddam Hussein, a view previously promoted by the Bush administration that has since been rejected. Conservative bloggers say that Palin's comment clearly does not refer to Saddam Hussein, but to al Qaeda. They call the article a "distortion" and a "stupid smear" and think it's further evidence of the media's bias. Conservatives are also unhappy about the Washington Post's piece on Cindy McCain's past struggles with drug addiction.

Obama Says "No More Mr. Nice Guy"

The New York Times reports today that Barack Obama "will intensify his assault against Senator John McCain, with new television advertisements and more forceful attacks by the candidates and surrogates." Liberal bloggers say the tone of Obama's campaign is still more honest and light compared with McCain's "vile, pathologically dishonest attacks." Conservative bloggers mock the "new" approach, saying it's the fourth time Obama has vowed to "take off the gloves." They call the strategy hypocritical and think it will be hard for Obama to stoop any lower (in terms of attacking McCain) than he already has.

Let me help you see the bigger picture, first, eight years of bad decision was made by the Bush administration, starting with the war (reasons were vague),. Second, economic crisis (you may have a lot of money, but it wont be for long if you choose McCain & Palin). They care none for the American people but themselves eventually leaving you, your family and friends out of the American dream that was once loved by many (thanks to them) now we are the most hated country on the planet because of bad management. McCain continues to make more bad decisions by choosing someone who is not ready for the task at hand. McCain & Palin would be a set back for our country we do not need that at all, the economy is in turmoil and all they can do is talk about going to war with Russia (trust me, that’s all they know about), causing more dept to this country. Well not unless your ready for this country to become a third world country…hmm..um I’m not! I would love to see this country flourish again, I know for a fact that McCain and Palin is incapable of ever making that happen especially were our country stand at this critical moment.

For your information Obama is an “American” representing two great ethnic groups, black and white. Obama has been under equal scrutiny, he just handled it like a real gentlemen, he is not McCain’s shadow…McCain, tries to mimics Obama’s strategies to try and out do Obama, that will never happen because it has to come from with in. It is clear to me what McCain has with in, WAR, WAR, and WAR…oh yea! Money for the rich! (What a shame!)When I listen to the two candidates, what comes out of their mouths is nine times out of ten is what they are really about. McCain, sounds so, um baloney when he address the people with his experience of war, I can see if he was “Rambo” or something, he was a prisoner of war, that tells me that he was not an affective soldier…lol, that he must not have been following instruction or he misunderstood his mission.

My husband, been in a war, like many of our beautiful soldiers, he also has his own war stories…and every time they went to different country or at war they are given specific instructions, did he get caught? NO, was he a prisoner of war? NO, he followed instruction and made it home safely. People get caught for many reasons (but being captured) mean you and your crew was not affective enough to carry out the mission or just being at the wrong place at the wrong time, that’s just an example though. McCain always want to talk about his POW, his not even active with disabled vets, so why should I care for his sob stories. If he was at least active in that area, I would give him some points. Obama is on the committee to help veterans get the benefits they deserve, like I said it has to come from with in. McCain is more of a monkey C, Monkey do. oOoo

Well, don't be upset with Palin, just look at how she came into the picture, McCain, sounds like a BIMBO too, he suppose to have all these experience but he sounds so unprofessional/uneducated as if his boat just landed on planet (SUPIT!).He talks to the high heavens’ but cant bring himself to talk straight to the people of America about anything...oh wait...that’s right, he does share his stories (play me a violin, Will you!). Sorry, that just does not cut it for me, he can beet around the bush all he wants, but I am sure the American people can see how transparent he really is.

As for Palin, she should just rap it up for a one way ticket to Alaska and call it quits (NO JOKE), my 16 year old daughter can present better statement then she just did even if she did not have the right answers.

Once in a life time election interview as a woman as Vice President was a flop, too bad that, Hillary could not have been that woman, not that I am in favor of her but at least she would fit them shoe with comfort.

Everyone is so concerned about Palin being a heartbeat "away" from the Presidency...Obama would be the "heartbeat" and that terrifies me! His 149 days of mediocre performance in the Senate and his "community organizing" experience certainly doesn't qualify him for the Presidency. We might as well elect his political advisors because they'd be the ones running the country. I'm so disgusted with the one-sided liberal media (NBC,ABC-Charlie Gibson,"The View" idiots, Whoopi and Joy Behar, even Barbara Walters,WA Post, etc) and their one-sided portrayal of the Celebrity Messiah Obama. I guess they're getting desperate with the McCain/Palin ticket generating so much steam. I'd love to see Obama squirm under equal scrutiny of his knowledge on the issues without his political advisors.Obama pretending to be Black/White, what is he? Why didn't he stop by the inner city of South Central LA on his trip to his $28500/person fundraising gala in Beverly Hills? He claims to be "for the people", it's pretty obvious that he's for the celebrity $, and the likes of Oprah and other celebrity cronies. Even Jesse Jackson's slip of the microphone revealed that Obama is not for the blacks in America.I hope that the Black community can see through his facade. His community organizing in Chicago and black affiliations was nothing but a stepping stone to higher politics. He's like a chameleon who will beoome whatever to generate the most popular votes.I'm sick of hearing of the comparisons of Obama to Bobby Kennedy and Michelle Obama to Jackie O! In their dreams!
