1. Southern Delegation Party—This long-standing tradition will feature rocker Sammy Hagar as the headliner at the Fine Line Music Café in the Warehouse District of downtown Minneapolis.

2. "Friends of New Orleans" All-Star Jambalaya Fundraiser—The event, hosted by former Louisiana Republican Rep. Billy Tauzin, conservative pundit Mary Matalin, former Secretary of Health and Human Services Tommy Thompson, and actor John Larroquette, will raise money for the Katrina Recovery Victims and the Tipitina's Foundation.

3. The Creative Coalition Gala Concert—Presented by Target, the gala will feature celebrities like Tim Daly, Quentin Tarantino, and music from the Charlie Daniels Band.

4. GRAMMYS Rock the Convention—The Recording Academy hosts "The Songwriters Circle: The Song We Love," featuring intimate acoustic performances of hit songs by the songwriters who wrote them, including Brett James ("Jesus Take the Wheel" by Carrie Underwood, "Blessed" by Martina McBride).

5. Tribute to the Reagan Revolution: A Late Night '80s Celebration—At this event a cover band will play hits from Ronald Reagan's decade. The president's older son Michael Reagan is to attend, and the event will take place at the trendy Minneapolis nightclub Aqua.
