Playing the Race Card: Does Barack Obama or John McCain Benefit More?

John McCain accuses Barack Obama of playing the race card—who wants to have this debate more?

August 1, 2008 RSS Feed Print

Sen. John McCain and his campaign Thursday accused Sen. Barack Obama of playing the "race card." Obama had been saying that the Republicans would try to use scare tactics, including pointing out that Obama "doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills." Obama's campaign flatly denied that he had been accusing McCain of using race as an issue. Race is in any case now a focus of the presidential campaign. Which candidate stands to benefit the most from this race debate? Post your thoughts below.

Angelina and the rest of you who support McCain must be smoking crack. Why shouldn't a black man point out that he is a black man? Why is it racist to say that this is how the republican see me. Hell, this is how the whole world see Obama. He may be half white but all any one see is a black man. Where is the race card? The truth is what it is. Lay off the crack pipe for a while and see the world the way it is. Some people have a problem with the commercial with Britney and Paris I don't. Just in case you were wondering no!! I am not black.

The mainstream media and bloggers alike have missed this important detail:

A McCain Web Ad pictured Obama on a (one hundred) dollar bill over a month ago!

Obama's face was also added onto the statue of liberty and Mt. Rushmore. Please watch the ad and pass it along. It shows that Obama didn't dream it up or initiate this race discussion.
