Public Opinion: Is Barack Obama or John McCain a Worse Flip-Flopper?

Barack Obama says he supports public funding of campaigns and pledged to work out a deal with his GOP rival for staying in the matching funds system, but last week he announced that he was going to skip the public funding system. John McCain was against offshore oil drilling and then last week was for it. These and other issues have led critics to lambaste the two candidates as being hopeless flip-floppers. Is one worse than the other? Which candidate's policy evolutions are of more concern to you? Post your thoughts below.

this country is in trouble anyway, George Bush has run us in the dirt so far we'll never get out. So no matter who is elected president, they will have to suffer the opinions of the public because of Bush.

The newsmedia are the flip-flops. They grasp at every stray to make a point

Flexibility is needed in any situation, whether the way you run the government or the way you run your household. If the present regime was a little more flexible and flip-flop, we would not be in the mess we are in today. They would have checked out the situation more thoroughly before going headstrong into an unnecessary war. Talking about pro-life; but they are willing to kill millions of people - even 4000 plus of our own -- because they were not willing to change course and listen to reason.

An intelligent person will size up a situation and act accordingly. That's being smart. You weigh the situation each day and make a prudent decisions.
