It was totally appropriate.

Bush et al are "puzzled" because they can't understand why McClellan would tell the truth!

Bush's "integrity" is like a bald man's combover. He's dishonest, he knows he's dishonest, he knows that everyone knows he's dishonest, yet he continues to act like a paragon of virtue and honesty.

Just nine more months and every American can delight in declaring TGGIG (Thank God George Is Gone)!

Loyal person of TX, obviously your loyalty is not to this great country but to your own ignorance. As for Myriam of NJ, need you say more? Did you even say anything?

Someone in this "administration" needed to become human and show some courage, it's never too late for righting wrong.

It certainly is appropriate for the former press sec. to reveal some of the half-truths and blunderings of the George W. Bush administration - and about time. It is abundantly clear, at this point in time, that the American public has been duped and lied to by the deceptive and unprincipled Executive Branch of government. My main concern now, is that America will wake up and throw these people out of office in November.

Eugene H. Howell of NV 2:19AM May 29, 2008

This book has caused a rather explosive reaction in the press and on talk radio. What has the former press secretery really revealid that Bush critics have not been saying all along? Does it really take an "insider" to wake us up?

No one should question Scott's right to share his experiences inside the Bush White House. His timing, however, is questionable.

He comes from Texas. His mother is in politics. What the heck did he expect???

No one, not even W, would question a book after the presidency. But now Scott? Really, did you need the money that badly?

Raymond of MD 6:30PM May 28, 2008

I agree with the poster who says the truth is appropriate. I applaud McClellan's courage in speaking the truth, even though it will doubtless destroy his political career.

I'm not so sure about the poster who called this a "rag of a magazine" since it's really just signaling bias by inserting "appropriate" into the headline. Maybe if you called it a "biased rag of a magazine" I would concur, but I'm not sure. It may not be bias so much as a stunt to get supporters and opponents of the administration to screech at each other.
