AMSTERDAM (AP) — Two nonprofit organizations that bear Jewish diarist Anne Frank's name are locked in a dispute over the Frank family archives, which have been kept in Amsterdam since 2007.

The Anne Frank Fund, based in Basel, Switzerland, is demanding the documents go to a display about the Franks and related families at the Jewish Museum in Frankfurt, where she was born.

The Anne Frank Foundation, which manages the museum located in Amsterdam at the site where Anne hid from the Nazis for two years before she was caught and died in the Holocaust, says not all of the archive belongs to the Fund. It says it will give the rest back eventually.

Foundation spokeswoman Maatje Mostart said Wednesday of the fight "it's really sad this is happening."
