Any launching of a missile towards Hawaii or the U.S. would increase tensions and require an instant decision by the President and H.Q on whether to intercept and holt or to intercept and deploy are own nukes and shouve it up kim jong`s ass. Now shoot down of missile would Embarras the north koreans so much that there twig and berrys would shrink up to 10X smaller! Then they are now, which would be totally screwed up because! some of there women can`t find it anyway. I can see it now; The whole world is laughing at kim jong because, (1) he ia a gooffy looking bastard anyway, secountly proving once again that god has a sense of humor. and last but not least that once again, that the north korea missiles are like them; to short ond controlled by an idiot

Wake up America! why is it we are not hearing enough of this on the news, they want our attention on other crap like Obama's spending$$$ Banks, health care,other affairs, etc while in the meantime he lead our troops out the the U.S. (no one to protect us!) N.Korea hates the U.S. and want our death. Don't believe what they are writing it's all lies like the "Great Deciever Obama" N. Korea can launch a misstle at any time and they can reach any Island in Hawaii and they can reach the U.S.
Yes, we are ripe for an attack and what are we doing about it? The Bible says these are the end times...the U.S. is not mentioned and I believe it's because it won't exist we are the great Babylon. Open your eyes and wake up because it's coming!

And just what would you have President Obama do?
Start yet another war? What of the people in South Korea who have been long time allies of the US? If it were a simple solution, such as bombing N. Korea, someone would have already done so, but its not simple. The very complex trade agreements with affected countries demand consideration. Thank God you aren't running the show!

Drop a bomb on their *sses and be done with it!! Show them the United States wont be pushed around or would you rather wait until we get the bomb first? Then cry about something we could have AVOIDED in the first place! Blow Korea off the face of the earth!! If not we may not have a country to live in...Period!

Our government for letting this even get to the point of launching. After seeing the poor reaction to katrina and louisiana I really hope this is a different story. Considering im just entering adulthood I would not like to get demolished just yet.

Playing this stupid game to see what America will do is foolish by this President (NK). I do believe that our President will do all what he needs to do to protect our state..(Hawaii) Yes this President(NK) would like to have so much attention and show he is suppose to be strong to the world. I believe that once he pushes that button to launch that missile our way, he will be the sorry's President, because what will come after that from the United States will be something he really would not like to see.
He needs to think long and hard what happen when the Japanese did what they did to Pearl Harbor, and in 1944 what the United States did on Hiroshima. China and Russia needs to do something really fast and quit stalling around!!

If NK has nuclear subs from the Russians (which they may) then all they would need to do is be able to arm one with a nuclear warhead and fire it at Hawaii...by that time it would be too late to stop it. NK is a dangerous enemy to America and to world peace. They need to be dealt with now before we lose innocent lives.
In response to Muser of NM, there is no question that an airborn rocket aimed at America would be shot down. There is no "decision" regarding that scenario that Obama would need to make. America's response would be automatic. Indeed, plans are already in place to do just that if the need arises.

Both China and Russia working together could put an end to the idiotic actions of North Korea. All the U.S. needs to do is enact policies curtailing trade with both China and Russia until they exert significant force on North Korea. The militaries of china or Russia could easily over run North Korea. With the U.S. and the rest of the worlds militaries backing them the North Korean government would be dismantled by their neighbors and replaced with a government based on sanity and designed and protected by their neighbors. The United States should play a back ground supporting roll.

If North Korea does fire a missle towards Hawaii- three steps are required. 1) deploy star wars missle defense, 1) go to the highest state of defensive posture, bringing ALL Military assets to bear on N. Korea, and 3) if immediate( I mean within 30 minutes) stand down of all offensive postures does not happen, a full military response should be initiated, beginning with precision strikes via Drones to vital government and military strike points, with all designed to inflict confusion and chao, but minimal colatteral damage, with commitment and ability to escalate if needed.
All of this would involve back-chanel comunication with China to have them understand we will not condone " quiet" approval of said situations.
Whithout these steps, our ability to negotiate from a position of strength would be eliminated.
