We should destroy the nuclear programs of North Korea and Iran before these weapons are used for intimidation, or launched against other countries. Not only will Obama fail to do this, but the next Republican president may be stopped from doing the right thing by Democrats, until after these weapons are launched and massive numbers of people die. The left will never understand how damaging nuclear intimidation is.
Consider the extortion Japan will pay to North Korea knowing that it could loose a third city to a nuclear holocaust, with everyone knowing that Japan has no way to retaliate. Japan must already be considering what an unreliable ally America has become for allowing North Korea’s weapons program to get this far. North Korea has been testing American resolve to defend Japan, while Japan has been witnessing the result. North Korea will be demanding Japanese technology, engineering, and funding to design and build more effective weapons. This already happened between China and Taiwan.
Consider how Jewish scientists were forced to help the Nazis before you assure yourself that Japanese people could never be made to do that. Consider Israel’s helpless situation, knowing the whole country could be vaporized in an instant. Unfortunately the left will do nothing to prevent this, because they don't understand the danger, because they can't consider it dispassionately. The left is still denying Hussein's WMD program even after he used it to kill tens of thousands of people. People on the left believe nations’ relationships are determined by how the people of each nation feel about each other, when in reality this usually only results from demagogues playing to the passions of their populations. Thus they are reversing cause and effect.
In reality, peace only results from the ability of nations to adequately defend against other nations that would harm or try to intimidate them.

[Knife to Knife Policy of Bush Administrations] vs. [Knife to Love Policy of Obama Administrations]..In the long run..I prefer Mr. Obama's. Ultimately, his policy will win!
May not be seen so in the eyes of men, but under teh wisdom of Solomon, it is.

but Iranian nukes and North Korean nukes are the chief foreign policy issues for Obama and Hillary Clinton.
George Bush and Condi Rice were rhetorically hard against both of these nations on this count, of course, BUT, Bush and Rice were ineffective at stopping them.
I do not believe that John McCain and Sarah Palin were somehow going to be better at this, so now I'm putting my hope in Democrats to be both smart and tough.

They're advertising for a buyer. Shortly after they find a buyer - that's when we'll see just how bad bad can get.

Honestly, North Korea has just been pushing "international buttons." I believe that they have had enough warnings, when were focused on Iraq, a pointless war. The U.S. should have stayed out of the way, maybe if we had stayed out of the middle east way in the first place, we wouldn't have terrorists? Maybe they wouldn't hate all the Americans? This Iraq war is another Vietnam, a pointless war thats costing us money! Are we going to leave Iraq pushing planes and helicopters off of ships?? I say we pull out of Iraq and invest in something worth our while, Korea.
I agree that we should have troops hunting down terrorist members in Afghanistan. It will be right to try and put them to a halt. They are a threat to national security but so does North Korea at this point.
Or maybe North Korea isn't as evil and crazy as we believe?
