2. Military Hawk
(Al Grillo/AP)
Palin is escorted by Col. Edward Daly, deputy commander of the U.S. Army in Alaska, after speaking to troops and families during a deployment ceremony for the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, Alaska on Sept. 11, 2008. Palin's son Track is a member of the brigade.
The mother of a soldier in Iraq, Palin is becoming a military hawk. She has repeatedly threatened Iran with sharp language, and some think threats work. And don't forget that she can shoot an elk at 400 yards, so she can back up those threats.
