President Obama isn't the only one stepping up efforts on the healthcare front. As the president passionately pushes for passage of his plan in campaign-style stops in Pennsylvania and Missouri, tea party protesters are planning to swamp Washington to block movement on what they consider a huge expansion of the federal bureaucracy.

In a notice to the movement's supporters, the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition said it wants to confront Democratic backers of the president's plan over the next three weeks as the party's leaders work to secure enough votes for passage. Here's their message sent to Whispers:

Tea Parties Take the Town Halls to Washington to Stop Obamacare

Memphis, TN--March 8, 2010 -- The Nationwide Tea Party Coalition is today announcing a new project, "Take The Town Halls To Washington", which is designed to bring tea party activists to Washington, DC during the month of March to meet, question and review the positions of approximately 50 Democrat members of the House of Representatives whose vote on the pending Health Care legislation has not yet been publicly announced. Tea Party Nation is a collaborating partner in the project.

Spokesman Mark A. Skoda, who is also Chairman of The Memphis TEA Party stated, "President Obama has indicated his willingness to ignore the people and force his bill through Congress using whatever means necessary. Our objective is to bring thousands of constituents to DC to meet with their representatives, capture their comments and produce a review of those positions on a daily basis. We believe that time is of the essence and the people need to understand where these representatives stand before any vote is taken."

Organizer, Michael Patrick Leahy further stated, "After more than a year of tea party resistance to the big government efforts of the Obama Administration, it all comes down to the next 3 weeks. The Administration has made it clear. They intend to ram down the Health Care takeover through a corrupt Congress by the end of this month, in direct defiance of the clearly expressed will of the American people."

"It is time for every tea party activist across the country to consider dropping everything he or she is doing and join us in the most important battle of our life time. We need your energy, commitment, and efforts to make this succeed. We need you to consider coming to Washington during this 3 week period, and if you can't come to Washington, be part of this project in your local area."

A nationwide kickoff is scheduled for tomorrow at 6PM Eastern Time on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 with meetings in DC scheduled to begin the following day through March 31, 2010. Logistics are being coordinated for those coming to Washington and daily briefings and reviews are scheduled during the project. It is expected that visits will take place while Congress is in session from Monday through Friday.

The Nationwide Tea Party Coalition is an informal federation of thirty local tea parties from around the country who work collaboratively on important national projects. It was the group that organized the February 27, 2009 "Nationwide Chicago Tea Party" in 51 cities around the country that launched the Tea Party Movement, as well as the April 15, 2009 Tax Day Tea Party, where 1 million tea party activists attended events in over 900 cities.

I guess Iforgot to compare the Iraq war to WW2,there is no comparisons,Saddam was a tyrant, but he had nothing to do with 9-11,he was found in a hole.We did not even finish our job in Afghanistan, whers Bin laden? Troops were sent to Afghanistan to bring Bin Ladens head back on a stick,I guess Bush-Cheney did a good job at that.We attacked Iraq for the interest of big buisness,Republicans are good at 2 things, fighting unjust wars and giving tax breaks to the wealthy and big buisness.

Good grief John..that's ostowshkish! It's the men who were willing to give their lives in wars who made it possible for you to live in such a free country. Quit reading the leftwinging rags, all funded by rich ideologues who don't have your best interests at heart. Only your slavery. If our veterans had your attitude through the years, the US would have all been taken over by Japan, or Russia, or Germany, and all the other 3rd world country's would be 5th world country's..worse off than they are now without our help and innovation...use your head man!....you need to study actual world history, but NOT at our 'public' or 'private' educational institutions. You need to read actual historical documents, and news accounts, memoirs, etc.

Sad that you can only resort to violence.....typical 3rd world politics...my how things are degenerating when people who think the world owes them a living, and are grateful for NOTHING, get a little power. The living dead are ruled by the elite, who only use you to rape the country's of their wealth, and when it runs out..you are the first to suffer! The non-producers! You should talk to some Russian, Chinese, and/or some of our 3rd world immigrants who when living in their former country's had to bribe their underpaid, communist/socialist/marxist Dr's to actually perform needed treatments and surgery's. They would have to pay them a whole years wages. The Dr's, who possessed no work ethic, much less the proper training/tools/drugs/ to operate on them or their family members make the patients family's pay them to 'do no harm', and to bring them out of anethsesia. Keep kicking God Dariel, you can't win, and you will only bring everyone down with you. Shanty town, here we all come, except for the ruling politicians!
