Lou Dobbs is making a new promise: He will be back talking his red-meat issues in public very soon. In a letter just received, he says: "I will be in the public arena and engaged." His areas of interest: "Illegal immigration, international trade, job creation, and economic growth." He doesn't say if he's going to run for office or head a conservative or populist think tank, but one thing is sure: He will stay in our face. See the full letter here.

Where but in America can you birth a baby for free and that baby then be declared a citizen and receive TAXPAYER provided benefits! Birthright citizenship to children of illegal immigrants has got to STOP. This is a MAJOR enticement for pregnant illegal immigrant women to cross our borders. I had to pay the hospital, doctors, etc. for the deliveries of my two children and I'm forced to also pay for the children of these illegals. I know of no one that thinks birthright citizenship is a good thing. It has long outlived it's intended purpose! The greatest nation in the world can't even secure it's borders.

I could see sometime ago Lou was being marginalized on CNN. The conversation on illegal immigration started disappearing till it was gone altogether. I figured there had been an ultimatum given by management. I watched his show less and less and noticed also that he had less people answering his question of the day. Eventually I discontinued watching until one day I decided to check out the question of the day and there wasn't a question of the day.

What a shock last night when I watched O'Reilly and now see a pro-immigration Lou, I thought I was hearing things! When I think how we fought to stop amnesty from being passed with Lou, Roy Beck of numbersusa.com and Grassfires the faxing, emailing and calling our Congress people to stop amnesty from passing it sickens me. Especially now when we have mass unemployment/ underemployment of the American People and we are suppose to believe this man cares about the American Middle Class, sure he does?

If Lou is running for office and he thinks this will give him a better chance of succeeding, he had better think again. The majority of people in this country are not up for any kind of amnesty/visa's or any sort of competiton in the job's market!

How can you make such a turn about face? What was that all about on Lou Dobbs at CNN, see which way the wind was blowing and jump on the band wagon for what, Ratings and Popularity?

But, I'll give his this he acts and sounds like a politician.

Well, I used to be a Lou Dobbs fan, until he has totally shocked me with his reversal in supporting illegal aliens. Tonight on O'Reilly, Lou indicated that he would assess how many illegal aliens of the 12-20 million should get citizenship depending on how many relatives they would bring in (i.e. parents and sisters). Even O'Reily questioned his softened position and Lou said he just got "smarter" . Good grief, I remember when Lou did good analysis before making recommendations. Remember we need to secure our ports and borders and stick up for America instead of La Raza. Lou, we have 10% unemployment of Americans and yes, putting them in the "back of the line" is worthless if they are allowed to stay, pop out children, access our healthcare system and every other social perk. Remember Lou, how your analysis showed that illegal aliens have caused depressed wages in the 4 major industries where they have supplanted American workers. What has happened to you? Did the threats against you change your convictions? I am very disappointed in Lou's lack of critical anaysis on the impact that amnesty would have on this nation. I think all illegal aliens should be deported and their home countries billed for all of the services they have stolen from Americans. Endorsing millions of Third World aliens to stay, sends a loud message around the world the "crime pays".
