The headline lies! Howard Dean is helping President Obama in every way. Both are for a public option. I trust both of these brilliant and dedicated men because of their intelligence and integrity and dedication to a cause they both care about in the interest of all Americans. The GOP and insurance companies are spending millions to derail health care reform but will fail if Americans stick together and do not allow the media to get away with publishing misinformation as this article does.

Call it the "charter Option" for health, like the charter option for city schools in the last decade., As with the schools, the Charter Option would oppose the top-heavy admin costs and run-away profits of the big insurance companies.

In this way, we would avoid the term"public"; it sounds even more bureaucratic & expensive, and it confuses people.

I will try to contribute money inspite of my extremely pathetic financial situation. I wonder what else I can do. It is easier for me to give time and labor. I have never volunteered for political action and do not know where to start.

I understand very well why governement is considered inefficient and untrustworthy. I often thought like that myself. However, I do emphatically trust OBAMA govt., because of who he is. So I have 100% support for the public option in healthcare.

How many times does this president have to express his idea of health reform? Why in this day and age's technology, seniors are still ill-informed?

More of their time would be better spent listening to t.v. stations that are informative rather than recreational-they would learn more and thus be able to make educated decisions for themselves, instead of allowing racist and negative t.v channels do it for them.

As a senior and grandmother, I have no fear that Obama's health reform plan does not include "kill granny" Any senior who believes that claim has their head in the sand and believes every scare tactic put out there by negative and racist channels like FOX.

It seems that Pres. Obama is not the powerful "won't pass the buck" leader he claims to be! He continuously tries to pacify the Republicans and worries if he upsets them....Bottom Line: Who cares what the Republicans think or do?

Democrats finally have enough power to get something done for the people, not for the select, wealthy fatcats and hate mongering ilk the republicans attract with their scare tactics.

Obama needs to lead or get out of the way! Maybe Hillary is the one with real balls after all! Don't think for a second she would back down to Republicans!

The Dems need to do it now, if they don't we all deserve to live under republican domination...which as was with the Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld gang..the closest in reality to living with thugs!

Isn't the idea to protect those who cannot afford to get proper health care or pay the high cost of insurance and not give a windfall to those who can afford insurance but choose have that money in their pockets?

The census will be taken next year. A question or two on the form can weed out those with incomes that can afford insurance and do not choose to purchase it. The result will be more government funds to help those who really need help.

What most of us fear is that under the present plan we will surely be facing rationed medical care. The U. S. has the poorest ration of doctors to patients in the developed countries.
