GOP Fighting: First Rush Limbaugh; Now Meghan McCain Calls Ann Coulter Offensive

I have not had the privilege of listening to Ms. McCain, but I am so proud of her and every other American that had the courage to stand up and vote their conscious. How can we consider ourselves to be such a great nation, if we're so small minded and critical of our fellow man ( or woman ) . Many of the issues we face today are humanitarian vs greed. When will it stop? When will we learn to live in harmony with each other ( and other countries ) and stop the sniping and mudslinging? There are so many things wrong with America today, but none so terrible that they can't be fixed. Start with personal greed, move on to schools and health care and add a dash of accountability. A touch of compassion would be appropriate too. I think that it's time this nation that cries Christian values, starts practicing what it preaches. We need leaders who are ready to buck the current system and take action. Oddly enough, Dr. Kings mantra applies to ALL Americans today. We will overcome, one baby step at a time. Just for the record, I am a white Indepentdant voter, over 50.

I switched parties just because of this reason. This party needs to do something drastic before I ever come back.

Megan, just do what other spoiled kids do to get their father's attention: run away or do drugs. Megan is the political Paris Hilton. What an embarrassment. She wants attention but she should have stayed at the kiddy table instead of jumping into the deep end of the pool. Coulter's complete dismissal of her and Megans continued seeking attention makes her look like such an a$$hat just wanting to be noticed. Gonna run to Daddy and ask him to fix it for ya princess?

It is young people like her that actually deserve the crushing debt Zero has bestowed on young people. I do not feel bad that she and her ilk will be paying for our debt the rest of her life. She is typical of the college age Obama voter. Ignorant and uniformed but think they know it all and damn everyone with their ignorant uniformed choices

And no, I am not a conservative. I'm not even republican. Life long democrat, that is, until Nov 2009

Meghan McCain is saying what needs to be said. I wish more people would speak up for the moderate, centrist Republicans. I supported John McCain because he was willing to take principled positions on issues like torture and global warming that were at odds with most of the Republican Party. That takes guts. His daughter is gutsy, too, speaking out against intolerance and taking on someone as prominent and often scathing as Ann Coulter. She is an amazing young woman who makes me proud that I became a Republican.

Meghan McCain makes the point that the GOP is ignoring. To win the White House, the party needs to carry the middle just as Reagan did. Obama moved his party to the center and essentially marginalized the GOP. The talking heads Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh just exacerbate that fact. Picking McCain as nominee was a mistake. And choosing Palin as running-mate became the mother of all political stunts. The GOP deserved election rejection for putting forth a ticket like that. It's time to get serious. For those that genuflect at the feet of Coulter and Limbaugh ask yourselves, " Are they helping to bring back the Reagan Democrats?"

Sharky 11:18AM March 11, 2009

McCain lost because he was too old, and because we didn't want a war president and because no one liked his health care proposals. Also because McCain picked the wrong running mate. Palin was not someone qualified to be president. Liberals, independents and moderate Republicans have always liked McCain. If it wasn't for the painful issues above and the fact that Obama is so popular, things might have been different. McCain's healthy moderate positions and reputation for bi-partisanship reflects more of what the Republicans should be about, and people LIKE him. Many people DO NOT LIKE Ann Coulter or Rush Limbaugh who do absolutely noting NOTHING but to incite divisiveness, that's their stock and trade. So please don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining. You want everyone who's not cut from the same cloth out of the Republican party? Great, enjoy your corner in hell.

The reason so many conservative pundit's books are "best sellers" is because conservative groups and individuals buy the books in bulk amounts in order to pad the count! See this article: http://voices.kansascity.com/node/1852 for a full explanation.

I happen to be a young college student who love Ann Coulter. I think that it is time for America to be told the truth and to stop worrying about being so "politically correct". I hate to break it to you Meghan but if you don't like everything about either party than there is already a party for that- it's called INDEPENDANTS!!! Quit trying to get back in the lime light and sound so shocking. There are actually people that want to return to God and stick to the conservative values, so quit trying to change the party... like i said become a moderate.
