has no connection with the regular american, he has no idea how hard it is to pay a electric bill or put gas in your car or go to the doctor, totally out of touch, live on my income of $2000.00 a month to pay for everything, maybe you will get a clue. I'M DEMOCRAT AND HAVE VOTED FOR McCAIN everytime, I have lost all respect for him and will never vote for him again, but what does he care, he too arrogant to care.

I have not been happy with House Bill but McCain Bill doesn't work in these areas:

1. Not address the loss of job types with too many American workers - can't all work at MCDonalds, need new types of jobs from new companies which will need additional support beyond a job

2. Without income corporations live with old FFE/investments so can capitalize and conserve. I agree 100% tax annual deduction good, but not good job creator, in lack of income time.

No lending for purchase of FFE let alone deduction which would provide jobs on January 2010

3. Military products are limited small sector funding and belong in military bill not economic stimulus. States get to local sectors. Under pinning damaged persons now will save money later

Better to send money to States, reinvigorate Fed-State auto fleets as well create savings.

4. Housing, should be in seperate bill. Too late so cost to salvage without a rediculous amount of spending. We do not have a mortgage plan yet to date nor the cost it now will need.

Everybody has got a wish list or self-righteous belief in what we should do. But with all the negative thinking on behalf of most Republicans,we will be in a depression by the time we get some help for the economy. It is not going to matter a little bit to cut taxes if people don't have jobs. Screw the tax cuts and get people back to work, then try to figure out who needs tax cuts. If we do go into a depression, I am not sure who we are going to name some monster project after, which we will be needing soon to dig us out of this shambled economy. I guess instead of a Hoover Dam, we could just call it Damn Rush.

When money gets tight in my family I don't go buy two new cars and a million dollar house. It doesn't make sense. But it makes as much sense has this spending (PORK) bill. Ron Haertling

Senator McCain is displaying great courage in opposing the Barack stimulus formula. I find it disgusting and a great concern that the Democrats are showing their arrogance in their vicious attacks on Rush Limbaugh as well. Conservatives/Republicans are hearing the trumpet call to mobilize as the loyal opposition, and I am one of them. Richard W. Chadburn

I agree that this stimulus package stinks and should be voted down. I was not happy that you voted for the first stimulus package that did nothing for everyday working people but I still voted for you and Ms Palin and would do it again. When will our elected officals get the idea that not everybody makes $80,000.00 dollars a year, live in mansions and drive $50,000.cars. I saw this forecloser thing coming a long time ago as I was a mortgage broker for 16 years and was really amazed that people could be so stupid to come out with the types of loans that was out there. I did not make a lot of money in doing this as I would advize people not to take out those kind of loans, but with the pressure from bosses I lost two jobs for under performing in selling them. If our leaders would take a look at putting money back in to help people keep their homes I really think that would the most good.

Sentor McCain, Thank you for going against this spending package...it smell like pig manure....thank you and all of those that have taken the courage to stand up to it...we are hoping that things are on a up swing for the republicans with Micheal Steele as the head of the RNC....he is a wonderful man and a real conservative....thanks for your service to our country in every thing from military to holding office....Nelson and Mary Bosker

Marvin Blackmore of IL 6:30PM February 03, 2009

Please stop this madness. Our Country is in CRISIS. We need Manufacturing to come back to the USA. We do not need any more Federal, State, County or City Employee's. We need Capitalism NOT Socialism. The Goverment and the People need to learn to balance spending and savings with real money, not credit cards and the printing press. NO MORE STIMULUS.
