Bush Intel Chief Mike McConnell Bids Adieu to His National Intelligence Team

National Intel Chief Mike McConnell, in a goodbye memo, says much still needed to be done.

After two years on the job, National Intelligence Director Mike McConnell is leaving, replaced by President Barack Obama's choice of Dennis Blair to be the director of national intelligence. In his goodbye note, he praised his staff and said that more needs to be done to protect the country from further attacks.
