British prime minister to make NYC visit

NEW YORK (AP) — British Prime Minister David Cameron is finishing his trip to the United States with a stop in the New York City area.

Cameron is expected to arrive in the city around 10 a.m. Thursday. He'll make a journey over the Hudson River to meet with Newark Mayor Cory Booker before making a visit to the World Trade Center site and Sept. 11 memorial.

He's expected to meet with students at New York University in the afternoon before heading back to England Thursday night.

Cameron arrived in the U.S. on Tuesday. His trip has included a college basketball game with President Barack Obama as well as a state dinner at the White House.

The two leaders discussed the war in Afghanistan at a joint appearance on Wednesday.
