Correction on my previous post: Where the post states 700,00 it was supposed to read 700,000. Also, the household increase in energy is going to be Approx. $3,100 per year. My comment reads "$3.100." Sorry everyone. I'll be more careful in future comments with my typing.

I can't believe that "we the people" had no input, nor say in Obama's stimulus package. Out of 787 billion dollars less than 40 billion towards infrastructure such as roads and bridges? What's wrong with this picture? I thought his focus was to put America first and put Americans back to work? Wake up America.....!! Our country is being destroyed from within; from those we put in office. Also, think about this: Obama's proposal of "cap on trade" will result in the loss of 700,00 to 3 million jobs, while lining the pockets of government from additional tax dollars of our hard earned money. The average household's energy costs such as home heating will increase approx. $3.100 per year and likely much more. Is that helping put America back to work? How's this boat going to float? This government is out of control. They have no regard for our Constitution, nor our individual freedoms. In other words, Obama, Pelosi, and company are setting the stage for Socialism. In other words, they are committing treason and are creating a tyrannical form of government. They should all be rounded up and put in prison. Again, WAKE UP AMERICA...!!!

I'm not going to blame anyopne. The REAL problem with the American Society today is multi-folded. 1. When someone comes out and tells it like it is...he gets demonished. WE, as Americans can find the real problem solvers...its just that we dont listen to them. Appoint, hire, or consult people in the "field" that understand whats going on in their area. Then..let them speak out. listening....we have to have leaders who know the problems, and then let them lead...HOW? Most of the things that hamper our successes are based on the NIMBY problem...not in my back yard, but it's all in our backyard! When are WE going to let those who have the best knowledge lead? There are solutions. Ego's are in the way. Property owners don't want to be invaded. Taxpayers hate the government. Grociery prices are off the scale? Find out the answers...call me...I have solutions. I know I can make things better...want to try my ideas out...get outa the governments scenerio and into your own.....BJ

I agree. Americans who already have enough food and money must no longer ask for relief. Instead, real relief must be channelled to those who can eat even one meal a day, those people who are living in depressed countries.

they havnt hired enough burocrats to hand out the money yet.

we cant just go around mailing money with no one to watch over it.

a govt. worker must be hired for every 1 million dolars guven out. how else could it create jobs/

Stimulus? The economy is already on the move. Foreclosed homes are being snapped up, gas is cheap, and tax cuts forced by the Republicans in Congress are hitting pockets already.

By the time the stimulus money, and all its strings, hits the economy it will cause chaos. For every job it creates or saves, if any, a bureaucrat will be handed a cushy oversight job.

Anyone who thinks this stimulus, or any stimulus, is expanding the economy must think that his child's allowance from his or her paycheck is expanding the economy. True economists realize it is like borrowing money from your spouse; Obama's economist realize they are stealing from my grandchildren's generation and just don't care!

Americans should count themselves lucky, some of them even have free lunch without lifting a finger. Some people are not so lucky, they find themselves in a country with deaf and dump leaders. People who can't figure their left from their right.

Nigeria is one of those unfortunate countries, with a leader who is far less than mentally or physically fit to run a kindergarten school talk less of a country with over 140m people.

These so called charlatans are busy playing politics with the lives of their people but let them know this the poor and the down trodden will rise up one day and take what belongs to them.

Why does everything have to be given to the rich which already has enough. The poor people who are struggling that has paid taxes all there life, are the ones who need help. More money in there pockets to see some dept relif. what the h--l do we need a rail system for. just more money spent, still no relif for the poor.

The stimulus program is a good idea. We need more jobs and sound housing quickly. The big banks are beginning to show profit. Perhaps the returned money with interest can go to other weak sectors of the economic change to promote jobs and stop foreclosures. Giving more money to young-people will start growth because they will spend money and get on the move. We need an urban agenda to foster growth in the cities. Let continue to make it happen. Go America.
