when are you folks (the taxpayer like me) going to wake up and smell the $$$ around you... did you folks voice the same concerm when the rethugs in power passed a (to date) 700 billion prescription drug program?... which benefitted only big Pharma, not your Granny... or stand up and let your voice be heard about illegal wars on 2 fronts, once again brought to you by rethuglicans?... which has estimated costs of up to 3+ trillion, and for what?... gwb and his inflated ego, and small mind... gwb having a mind is a stretch... the stimulus path we are attempting to move down may be long, and it may be wrought with some failures, but it hasn't even seen a dime spent yet... and it's got a foot in the grave to read what you all have written... is it your wish for the president to fail?... like many in d.c. already do?... or be like the obstructionist rethugs in congress, licking their wounds after BHO gave them an old fashioned ass kickin'?... which they rightly deserved, after the repeatedly stupid policies of the past 8 years... do us all a favor and give this plan a chance... if it works, say so... if not, then start bitching... some of you have said "I haven't had a job since 2008"... maybe you're not smart enough to hold a job, or maybe your benefits ran out, or maybe it's just gods way of saying "tough s**t"... in any case, my obamameter is pegged out and i'm stoked about the future... get on board

I say scrap the whole bill and start over - using common sense if they are being honest. The fear factor is that the bill has to be passed NOW, or the sky will fall. Weeks are passing while the fighting is going on and the sky is still up there. We also had a deep freeze across the country (Florida affected also)sooo..example Global warming, while important if true, is not going to NOW fix our economy. If it is not going to fix hurting economy NOW- scrap it. Most of us live on a fixed budget, and need and want things that cannot be obtained. If I knew, there was no taxes taken out for about a year...I would use that money to install a needed fence outside my house that is falling down...and fix concrete that is cracking up. I have been saving for three yrs already, and still do not have enough to have it done. Tax cuts can be temporary. There should be in the bill money for an organization of "bulldogs" who can go in and make sure that money is not being abused for all existed organizations, i.e: the school systems, hospitals, banking and loan organizations, etc. Fix now. Help the unemployed who lost jobs due to the banking screwup, and it trickled down to all business and employees...tax cuts NOW, so the little people can throw it back into the economy. When our heads are getting above water, then start all other necessary things like windmills, intfrastructure, etc.

We the people think this bill as it currently is, is a very sad commentary on the state of affairs in this country. We do not want to be a Socialist state. We want capitalism. What this bill proposes has no impact on the hardships Americans are suffering currently. I am very disappointed. Why cant there be a flat tax. Why do CEO's get so much bonus money. Why cant they markedly decrease federal taxes taken out of our paychecks. If they want us to spend, there has to be a way to lighten the load for the average citizen that carried this economy after 9/11. Now everyone is in debt up to the eyeballs. If a person has good credit, a good job history, and timely in paying bills, why cant our mortgages be payed off. Then there would be money to spend to help this economy.

I think this bill is a result of Congress out of control. There are items in this bill that have nothing to do with stimulating the economy. Its appears to be a "pork" bill with everyone's pet project attached. I thought we weren't going to have earmarks!!!!

The American public will never get this paid down. And I serious doubt if the "average person" on the street sees any results from the passage of this incredibly irresponsible bill!

Where does this help me? I have a 831 credit score, self employed and need a working line of credit to buy materials to grow my business. Where does that fit in? a waste of money in my view. And yes i have a MSFS! So i see this only helping people who can't help them selfs.

Call is the Lazy way out Bill.

Do not cut the 13 billion from education specfically retrofitting schools, new costruction, and public buildings. This will create a instant savings in energy cost and kills two birds with one stone. Direct savings to the tax payer in energy savings and energy independent.

How are people going to start buying and selling homes when they are out of work and their credit is in a shmables? Maybe a plan with more depth than yours is in order.

I think it is a good bill. There is assistance for the unemployed by supporting the states and providing re-training. There is assistance for the middle class by correcting the alternative minimum tax, credit for first time homebuyers, a middle class tax cut, and assistance for college tuition costs. There is assistance for small business. There is assistance for our beloved veterans and better housing and health care for those who serve our country. There is reduced health care costs by creating an electronic records system. There is assistance for folks out in the country by providing better broadband and agriculture. There are provisions to rebuild the electrical grid, roads, and bridges. There are previsions for improving the energy efficiency of buildings and automobiles and for research on better batteries for electric vehicles. There are provisions for building more prisons, for controlling illegal immigration, and for Homeland Security. Much of it should have been done a long time ago. Thank you, Mr. President, for caring about the long suffering middle class average American.
