THE STIMULUS SHOULD HAVE SIMPLY BEEN DIVIDED AMONGST THE CITIZENS. THE DEFICIT WOULD HAVE BEEN LOWER, CITIZENS RICHER, ECONOMY STRONGER HAD THE RECOVERY MONEY BEEN PUT IN THE HANDS OF CITIZENS WHO SPEND MONEY RATHER THAN TO BANKS, BUSINESSES, CITIES AND STATES WITH OVERPAID CEOS WHO PAY THEMSELVES FIRST AND WASTE THE REST ON STUPID, PET PROJECTS THAT BENEFIT THE RICH

Enough - It's time to make good on the statements made about lower the rate for all American to afford Health Insurance. When will this happen. We are all waiting enough time spent on

talk that going nowhere. We all need Good Medical Insurance.

I would have to agree, this Stimulus Package is probally not the smartest thing, We will have to pay back everything we get this year, on next years taxes,so what are we really getting? Nothing, but the Government is getting two-three times the amount back, wow what a profit huh? America needs to wake up and smell the coffee here. This plan doesn't help anyone but the Upper class, Obama speaks of the "upper Middle Class" just what the heck is that? there hasn't been a "Middle Class" in so many years. Maybe there was on the Islands where he's from, but surely not here where honest people try and make a decent living for their families. And he's going to make "Medical Ins" more affordable? ok right, we get calls now on that issue, they want (No Lie) for a family of three, $275.00 per month for Just Medical Coverage. Now With being layed off work like most Americans, we are suppose to get this from where? oh yea the Stimulus, but then after this rebate is gone? We surely don't recieve this rebate every month? And where are we going to get the money to continue this coverage? Id Obama going to give us money every month so our children are able to see a doctor?

ABSOLUTELY NOT! He's Just Baiting people in, and some are actually taken the bait. But... Obama during this "depression" as he calls it, can afford to put new swingsets, Basketball courts etc, on the WhiteHouse Lawns?? What a Hypocrit....Were Struggling, and He's Flaunting... What a Leader we have here.

if they get those solor pannelled street lights then i should get one as well dammit hey they seem so sensible. Come on its more smoke and mirrors. The author spun this story its so easy to see through it all. Keep energy cheap is the safe bet or well never rebound. Manufacturing and agriculture depends on energy if we grow business we all go forward..........to life liberty ant the pursuit of happiness

What is being proposed is a ridiculous waste of money - instead of building a city wide (albeit small city) homage to an overused and ill-used term (green energy), the town should use the money to subsidize and attract high tech firms to build factories and R&D facilities to make next gen batteries so that the US and not a foreign company take advantage of the impending technology turn. They should use the money to train the local work force to support such innovation and not waste it on museums that maybe 5 people a year may go see. They should use the money to push through the construction of a nuclear power plant which would create construction and high tech jobs and also help reduce our dependence on foreign energy as well as spur research and innovation. Let's use the spending package to innovate and build, not to build a train to nowhere.

Why is it everyone sees this as a positive? How are we going to pay it back? Why would I want the goverment to put such a burden on my children, they are going to be the ones faced with the task for paying this money back. I can not belive that everyone belives that our president knows what he is doing, and is in support of his big plan for change. The only change that is gonna happen is we will not be able to retire, we will never be debt free, and the goverment will now have a say in everything.SO i ask you can we really support a plan that calls for new cars for goverment officals, when we cant afford to buy them ourselves. And what about the millions to be spent to fix up the lawn at the white house. And the millions for Nancy P. I do not know what will happen to economy if we do not take this package, but if we take it we have sold our souls people.

I think it is a great thing let them do one project at a time to make sure it gets completed. Then next project do the ones that will bring in revenue first to help the community first. So they can see the funds are being spent wisely. these kind of projects do not happen fast with out the proper contractors. and if they never had a project of this size it can be overwhelming . the key is the best contractor with a good reputation. For jobs of this stature

I'll tell you how much of this stimulus will end up in my pocket - none. I EARN the money in my pockets and always have. If I needed a second job to make ends meet or pay my bills, I got one. If I could not afford something, I did not buy it. I don't ask for hand-outs, bail-outs or anything that I would not be proud of. I have pride in myself and in my country and can make it on my own, with out begging for soemthing that I do not deserve. So, to all who stand in line, I ask you, "What is your excuse?" Whatever it is, the emphasis goes to the word excuse. The same goes for businesses. Failing, incompetent, lackluster businesses should fail - that is called free enterprise.
