NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Kentucky finished off its expected run to a national title with a flourish, running over Kansas with a bunch of players who may not be back next year.

Led by shot-swatting freshman Anthony Davis, the Wildcats beat the Jayhawks 67-59 Monday for the school's eighth national title.

Coach John Calipari has hung his hat on bringing in talented players who don't stick around long and this group came through by providing the one thing missing on his resume.

Kentucky lost just two games all season and was led by Davis, the likely No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft when he comes out. The Wildcats could have five, even six first-round draft picks from this year's team.

At least they'll go out with a title.
