Mott returns to Dubai with Cigar on his mind

Sending a horse, too, has become much easier as transport has been streamlined with many traveling in first-class luxury paid for by race organizers. Royal Delta made the trip in good shape, Mott said, and was "just floating over the ground" when she got out on the track Wednesday. He said he only dropped a few pounds and was eating "like a bull."

"It's been an easy trip, easy transition. Easy as it can be," Mott said.
