Orioles' Reimold OK after taking pitch to jaw

SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) — Baltimore's Nolan Reimold returned to the clubhouse Saturday, saying he had a chipped tooth a day after being hit by a pitch in the jaw.

The Orioles outfielder said his left jaw was a little swollen but otherwise he had no ill effects from the fastball thrown by Tampa Bay's Alex Cobb on Friday in Port Charlotte, Fla.

Reimold said he would wait for the swelling to go down before he played, and expected that he'd be back on the field in a few days.

Reimold was hit in the first inning and dropped to the ground, laying motionless for several minutes. He stood on his own power before being carted off the field.
