Create a national jobs database

Consulting firm McKinsey and others have highlighted a growing mismatch between the skills workers have and the skills that companies need, which is one reason many people end up out of work so long. An accurate and up-to-date national jobs database could detail the kinds of jobs that are available by county or city. The government could do it, but private entrepreneurs could, too.
