Business is booming in the greater Boston area, whose Fortune 500 companies include insurance company Liberty Mutual and the headquarters of office supply store Staples. But like many cities, healthcare and education are major job sources, with tens of thousands employed by hospitals and higher education institutions located around the metro area. According to the Boston Chamber of Commerce, the city’s total number of jobs increased 0.8 percent from November 2009 to November 2010.
