I revieved a notice from the Chrisytian Seniors Association that in the hate crime bill the word BIBLE, was mentioned as a hate crime because it says homosexuaslity is wrong. Anyone confirm this?

If believing in everyone pulling their own weight and not looking for big Govt. to give handouts means I'm racist....so be it! But if I can't vocally express my belief in family and christian beliefs, what kind of Govt. is it we're living in?

I believe in laws that are equal; not those in which single out a group (i.e..gays, lesbians, minorities etc.) and state they need special treament because they're so deprived. BOO HOO HOO.

I'm christian and conservative and will die to defend my right that was handed me by those who died before me to give us the freedom in which we all are equal. FREEDOM IS NOT FREE!!!!!!!!!! Liberals and others of their ilk think it is if the majority agree with them. If you disagree then "your a hate group or racist". BULL%$#@!!!!!!!!

what if all the gays and lesbians and others were told that they had to be tolerant of the conservative groups? Is it a hate crime when someone puts down Bush or Rush? If a gay does not agree with a conservative is that A hate crime? Why is rush labeled as a racist when he disagrees with the current president? if that is the case then is everyone who disagreed with bush a racist too? Why is it that you can say so many bad things about a white president but can't say the same thing about the black one? It is a double standard just like this will be in the future. equal rights but with separate special privleges for whoever is the supposed victims. just sad

Just because Obama is a Christian doesn't mean he should use his religious beliefs in government. Church and State are meant to be separate. America is not supposed to be a country ruled by religious beliefs. Otherwise, women would have no rights whatsoever and stoning people would be legal. This is a country based on a Constitution which states all men are equal, and obviously the point of government is to protect it's citizens, as much from each other as from foreign threats. It shouldn't matter if the Bible says homosexuality is wrong; people (mainly so-called Christians) should have the morality and sense to accept that other people may choose to live in a way which makes they themselves happy. "Christians" who hate and wish to harm LGBTs should be tolerant; the Bible doesn't preach prosecution of those different, but love of one's neighbor. I am glad that legislature is finally taking steps to enforce tolerance.

"Sin will win out until a savior is accepted by all."

I believe God already won ,Jesus will come and Obama will have to answer to this new law . And I hope that people will wake up and relies God made ADAM AND EVE NOT ADAM AND STEVE OK? How in the world dose obama say he is Christain and make this law and legalise ABORTION no if that isn't crulty or murder i don't know what is ! obama is sick and and needs to hear the WORD OF GOD and hear what god has to say to the laws he has been passing . Pray ALL YOU CHRISTAINS TO A RE LORD AND SAVOR FOR ARE NEW LEADER IN THIS WORLD (OBAMA )

Religion is protected under the first ammendment. Now this hate crime bill is signed into play protecting homosexuality. Noone can be prosecuted under this for preaching the word of the bible on homosexuality because it is a double negative fall back to the first ammendment. Say what you want about gays you still have the first ammendment.

I am appalled that our president has signed this bill and that our leaders have wasted so much time and money on it. This bill which is now law means we are no longer equal in this country,if a gay or lesbian gets assaulted the penalty for the criminal is harsher than if they assaulted a straight person.WAKE UP AMERICA! I hope you stupid sheeple that voted for this president realize that he just broke his oath to uphold the constitution!OOPS I hope I didn't just commit a crime by saying whats on my mind!
