I have to laugh at these types of articles because they are arguing about bringing religion into government, as a violation of seperation of church and state, when their interpretation of that is not consistent with the true meaning as applied by our founders. All they are is spiritual segregationalists and God is the new N-bomb. Some sort of spiritualality is in most peoples belief structure. They are the atheist version of the Spanish Inquisition.

extremists I would not like anything to do with you people. Why on earth would
you like to mix up politics with Deism? Such actions are no better than the right
wing is doing with religion. It astounds me! We need another site that is not

a politician will say and promise anything the public wants to hear when he is running for office, once elected, the politician folds to the money wielders and special groups.

As he neared his resignation, Geroge Washington wrote a letter to the nation. He warned of the danger of political parties, and how they would turn the government from a group of people interested in their nation's future to a rabbling mob of power hungry professional politicians. In short, he opposed political parties.
Did you realize that the Libertarian party chooses their candidates for all offices in Convention versus by primary ballot? How can both of those be constitutional? If your stance is that we must have what the Republicans and Democrats do to choose their candidates then how do you deal with the Libertarian, Constitution Party, Green Party and others that put people on the ballot but don't have a primary?
Perhaps you can show me Article, Section, and Clause in the US Constitution that states that the US will be a two party system that will choose its candidates based on popularity, and ability to sell themselves to the highest bidder in campaign donations.
Of course GOOOH is only aiming at the House of Representatives, but exactly what do you think the Electoral College was originally designed to do? Let me explain. You were to go to the polls and elect a representative (Presidential Elector) who would then go forth and interview different individuals that either were qualified for the job of President or had shown an interest in being the President. After interviewing all of the prospective candidates he would cast his vote as your representative in your congressional district. Kinda like what GOOOH is proposing.

If goooh candidates become the status quo then Founding Fathers comment should no longer ring true. These candidates are being hand picked by members of their district after agreeing to a contract to resign within 72 hours after breaking such agreement. I mean it could get a little dicey perhaps but they must agree up front not to take any special interest money deals during their term. When the selection process begins you will personally choose whom you believe to be the most honest and trustworthy to represent you.

I am truly disappointed. Obama was the intended cure for the ills created by "W" and his propagation of funding for church organizations. One would expect Obama to follow through on his promises to support the constitution.
Most of those who supported Obama in his election thought that his presidency would signal the end to financial funding for churches and the clear violation of separation of church and state.
Not so, his true nature now becomes evident. In the end, he appears to be just another politician.

I'm so relieved that others are seeing Obama's true colors as well. Thank you for clearly showing Obama's path.
One theme has run through my life - I'm naturally resistant to tyranny. I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness (the tyranny of boredom), but I rebelled against it from a very early age. To make a long story not too long, my personal, religious and political philosophies have all come together in good alignment for the first time in my life. Politically I'm Libertarian. The platform is as close to the Founding Fathers' original vision as anything I've ever seen. Democrats are too tyrannical with taxation and babying perfectly capable adults into slothfulness and dependence upon the government. Republicans are too tyrannical with the police power of cracking down on victimless crime vices.
There are other parties, but socialism is a peppy march to totalitarianism. When government is one's master, where does God fit in? Either God created us free or enslaved. We just can't have it both ways.
There are so many sources of Libertarian philosophy, it would be tragic to list them all. However, a friend has a blog www.libertarianviewpoint.com that is helpful. Another site is www.libertarianism.com.

I hope and pray that we change from me to we and from selfish desires wants to teamwork for the GOOD of all (Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness).
I hope and pray that President Obama does include instead of exclude. I hope and pray that he encourages love over selfish wants, pride, desires, envy, and everything that seperates us from love.
I hope and pray that he is inclusive of those of us that say spending tax money on abortions around the world and in America is spending money to kill an unborn baby in a horrific way. Don't support me (mother or baby) over we (mother and baby).
I hope and pray that he encourages and designs government social program improvements that are social justice (hand up and responsibility for those that receive) and not just a handout. I hope he realizes that many of the people who work hard for the tax money would very welling give to a program that encourages those that receive the tax money to have a growing responsibility to give back (social justice and hand up) and not to.just receive a continuous handout without any responsibilities. Everyone that receives can produce something back to society (maybe small at first but something). Social Justice should never make anyone dependent upon the tax money to survive but to require them to give back and grow responsibility and into being a more productive person. Using your talents and working is good for the mind, body, soul, and heart. Everyone can use their talents for the good of the world. If you take work and reponsibility away and make them dependent then that destroys the person and handicaps them. Pay it forward, work, and reponsibility is true help and love for the person and families (inclusive). We can do this together if everyone gives back.
I hope and pray that he leads by an example to repect Human Life (unborn babies) and love is above the needs for me, my choice, comfort, convience, wants, pride, lust, embarassment, and personal goals. I hope he does discourage slaughtering our unborn babies in such cruel ways. I hope he encourages and educates everone on how cruel abortion is to the unborn child.
I hope he encourages people to be responsibile for their decisions and not just abort them. I hope and pray that he encourages the truth to be told.
I hope he encourages the rich, middleclass, and poor to be more reponsible for Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness for all. Everyone can give back to the team some of what they have so that WE can be a better nation.
I hope and pray that President Obama, Congress, and the Senate encourages Love of our neighbor as ourself.
I have hope for change. I hope he continues to pull the nation together to talk through better solutions so that WE can love and celebrate all of Human Life above self.

You are part of the proof and miracle. Your complex design was not just something that happened. You were designed for a purpose from a blue print that is very complex. A car and a computer both have complex designs and they were made for specific purposes by humans. You are much much more complex than a car or a computer. God designed you (the Human Being). This very complex universe was designed to function perfectly like a watch was designed to keep time. The universe sets time. Think about all the other systems on earth that function as designed. Air is being produced each day to allow you to live. Everything around you is a miracle and was designed by God. All the systems that work together to sustain life on earth were designed for you by God. You are important and made for a purpose.
Now get up, take all the talents that God gave you and make a positive impact on the world. Become the miracle that God designed you to be.
